Also last year, Sagan was pretty without juice after the very long and tough season and as he has again very tough program in 2013, it would be hard to prepare again to the top form in September. So maybe focus on Spring and July only again is the clever move.
But we will see, it can change throughout the year according to results and so. Bring on the San Luis, i want to see him winning again.

So you're saying he sucked because he wasn't on the juice anymore? Sagan hater

He's a bit cocky. He said that he can beat anyone on any type of terrain in a sprint.
Sagan vs Cavendish

We'll see about that when he sprints against Boonen in San Luis! |

Yeah, he is doped to the roof! I dont like him at all
And cocky? You can see it like that, but i see it as the Muhammad Ali-like confidence.
And he can beat Cavendish too, not all the time, but he can, only time Cavendish beated him last Tour was when Cav got super lead-out from Wiggo and EBH, while Sagan was alone fighting for wheels. If Sagan would have like 7 man sacrifised to him like Cav usually has, he would be winning even more maybe.

He didn't have that often this year that 7 sacrified man for him. |

Well, there were another two stages where Cavendish beat Sagan, while the only flat sprint Sagan won was when Cavendish crashed.

True, i wrote about that stages, where Sagan was lost too far back to come and overcome Cavendish, to be able to do that he should be right behind him or in front of him, you cant beat Cav coming from 50 metres behind him (see last stage at Champs, Sagan was clearly the fastest). He would need better train and more experiences in Tour stages finales to beat him like 9from10. He had Oss only and was alone in last kilometer always..
Also Sagan was 2nd twice in the stage, when Cav was far back iirc...
But we had this disscussion and we agreed to disagree, so we can avoid that loophole again.

I don't think we had this discussion, because I do agree Sagan can beat Cavendish. I'm a bit of a Sagan fanboy after all.

I had that with someone and mixed that with our Barca neverending discussions probably.
And i also see Sagan haters everywhere, so i am not sure in front of who i guarded him with my words
This year it will be super-cool matchup, with Cav with his super train at OPQS and Sagan maybe also with some more helpers at Tour, when Nibali is gone.

Not maybe ''some helpers'' . Sagan has been given total lead at Tour with the whole team behind him. I.e He'll have 8 riders supporting him ( can't have more than that )
Anyway, it should be quite exciting indeed. Add Kittel, Goss and Greipel to equation and we may see some of most exciting and even sprints at Tour lately.
With Froome more independent than Wiggins, it'd be nice if EBH gave a go for green jersey too.

Meh, I'm rather looking forward at how Sagan (and Degenkolb) will fare in the classics, especially in Flanders. I think Cavendish will be untouchable in the Tour if that monster leadout works.

Yeah, it will be great show, with so many dedicated helpers, i cant see someone else than Sagan as the biggest favourite for green, if he will not be out of form. There are "only" 6 complete flat stages iirc.
And Goss and Greipel, yes, but i doubt Kittel is able to ride the Tour at some great level now, in my eyes he is not able to come fresh enough to the sprint on so difficult race as Tour, where speedbumps can be lethal for his climbing abilities. Degenkolb would have much better chances imo.

Sagan and Degenkolb will rule the flanders and Tour also, just wait for it!

Honestly I'm just amazed we haven't seen the "Sagan can win the Tour de France!" article yet.
Anytime a young talent of this level comes along it happens so I'm amazed it hasn't come out yet. You know it's going to happen. It always does. Cancellara, Hagen, Boonen, Popovych....every time.

Wait for it...
Cannondale general manager Roberto Amadio told VeloNews: “In the future, he can also change goals and think about the yellow jersey. Win it? Why not?”

Kittel has the higher end speed I'd say. We can't judge him for this Tour at all, which many do. But I am sure if both go to the Tour, Degenkolb will lead in more hilly sprints, Kittel in flatter.

Oh ffs...
Wait, where's the stereotypical quote from a know-nothing trainer/coach/manager/etc. about how he can totally do it if he just loses X amount of weight?
