1. Valverde (But I really hope I'm wrong... this course does suit him though)
2. Gilbert (Who I actually want to see win...)
3. Gerrans
4. Purito
5. EBH
Sagan wins the sprint behind in the bunch. He will either lack the form today or he will miss the move. JTL puts in a small attack but gets nowhere and ends in an anonymous place.
Actually screw that Arashiro will win it.

Voeckler for me. He's talking down his form, which is normally a good sign. |

1. Boonen
2. EBH
3. Degenkolb
4. Gallopin
5. Freire
Gilbert/Nordhaug/Purito will probably go on the cauberg but they won't make it. Predicting a group sprint.
(I have actually no idea about rider form so don't take this too seriously )

I recall the first worlds I managed to watch without knowing the result which was 2003 - the one that Asterloa won.
I think this race will be like that - so someone like Zaugg or Kolobnev. A guy that will be given some freedom to get a gap.
So
1.Kolobnev
2.Valverde
3.Gilbert
4.Gerrans

My bet is Valverde!
Doubt it. He felt weak and fainted yesterday in the hotel
Supposedly because he ate his meal too fast. I've never seen that happen.
That's quite odd... |

It's been known to happen once in a while when a blood bag is improperly administered though....and they're administered 48hrs before when maximum effect is desired....and it was friday afternoon.

What, conjecture is good enough for you when riders aren't british?

Valverde certainly doesn't seem to be on top. He's sitting at the back end of the main field.

Just less than 2 laps to go in the junior race, the peloton is all together, as a dangerous breakaway has just been caught. |

Is it the same circuit ? Because the pros are already riding. |
