Didn't he do it in Paris-Nice the day after he cracked? And hasn't the long range attack been done even before then (what was it, 2010?)? Chiapucci?
i raise you one Charly Gaul in 1958!!! the ultimate long range attack
Contador couldn't see that attack due to the lack of technology back then
and for wackojaacko i said you plz give me when he succed before the Andy Stage. If you mean Paris-Nice he was caught by Cobom and Andy Schleck and lose the stage and Sanchez won Paris-Nice.
He was caught by Frank and Colom and came second on the stage but the idea was really to take time. It's not like Andy took enough time to win a Tour - maybe he'll learn from Contador here. |

getting the third or fourth place in the general, what a joke,Andy take almost 3 minutes and the yellow jersey,if it wasn't for his weak TT he surely have won the Tour.

it may be true that he might have won the tour but it doesnt matter....
Contador and many many others have done long range attacks before Andy last year
Realise this and stop making stupid comments
On with today;
My money is on Swift (blind faith beats common sense)
Although it will probably be Degenkolb again

Yeah, but Andy failed as well. He only ended up best loser. Maybe he will learn from the example Contador set yesterday. |

Swift wins?
Nope, even Bennati beats him.

Bennati just pips Swift. Degenkolb was nowhere.

Degenkolb`s leadout lost contact to the riders ahead and so Degenkolb had to close this gap on his own. In the end 5th I think. Can`t work every day I guess.

Bennati wins. The best proof of how good the sprinting competition was in this Vuelta.

You would think Theo Bos could score 3/4 wins here. But ok |

Hectic here and still haven't watched it - had to settle for text updates while pretending to work. Am I right in thiking Spanish TV missed the start of the attack as in they hadn't started recording/broadcasting? |

I just found out that I had betted on Contador as the winner of the Vuelta! I was sure I had picked both Rodriguez for both points and overall!
Oh happy days!
