Ok Kumazan sorry I misunderstood your "intonation" xD hard to guess by reading :
Also inventing quotes doesn't make you right. anyway, I'm done with this. You seem to enjoy a succession of stages where nothing happens if that means a close fight for the GC. Fine. I don't. We agree to disagree.
Forget the "I think I don't like you"
but what did you mean by inventing quotes
(if you can afford a last post xD)
No problem.
On the "inventing quotes" thing, you said that there were lots of comments in the Giro threads along the lines of:
"boring stage not sure I'm gonna watch it tomorow"
"Giro is over, let's watch something else"
But that isn't completely true. As I said, some people moaned about Contador's domination, but the fact that they're not consistent with other riders' domination in their field leads me to think that they were just using that as an excuse to not to admit they just hate to see him winning (I usually feel they same, btw, unless he's beating a Schleck ).

How much's the figure ?
5.8
Multiplied by 70 (for the standard 70+8 kg pattern), that's about 405-410 W.
It's a lot, but it's reasonable. Riis was around 490 in Hautacam 1996, 20 % more powerful. |

Last year Andy and Conta were at 6.1 so there should be more to come from them in the Alps

Caveman zombie, to be precise. |

but vanendert weights 64kg, so more likely it was 380/385w |

You'll never get it, will you ?
Those comparisons (and the 410 W average threshold) are calculated for a 70 kg cyclist, and an 8 kg bike. People who've started using it found it more convenient than W/kg, but it's the very same, except it's multiplied by 70.
Vanendert probably did those figures you wrote, but they can't be compared to anyone else whose weight would be different from his, whereas if you assume he weighs 70 kg, and assume the same for all riders, you can draw comparisons between them.

yes but you will never get that the comparisons at 70+8kg make no sense, because the riders simply don't all weight 70kg. And the bikes don't weight 8kg, but 6.8 kg
Therefore the wattages are total bullshit if calculated in the 70+8 way of cyclismag. |

No they're not bullshit. It's simply not actual wattages. It's a comparison tool, with "equivalent" Watts.
And 8 kg also considers the average of two water bottles (500g), shoes (500g), helmet (300g) and other garments, bike computer, etc.
The suspicion, or obvious doping threshold apply to those equivalent wattages, not to the actual ones. Which is natural, because a tiny 58 kg climber will never reach 410 W, whereas Dario Pieri probably produced more than that whilst climbing mountains, yet he climbed, erm, not suspiciously fast. |
