On another note; It's indeed completely rediculous to not organizer a race somewhere for having bad wheater.
You're from the Netherlands. Your opinion doesn't count in this IMO. As I said I like cycling in Netherlands and it's a very credible cycling country. chill.
Now you're getting even more redicilous then it was... my opinon not counting for being Dutch. yeah right, and I need to chill?
It could rain everywhere just as good as here. Yes, we have more rain a year then Spain, but even with a bigger chance of rain, it should not be a criterium. Cyclists simply need to adapt to the conditions.
I garantuee you, nobody in the pro cyclist world will second what your saying about not racing somewhere for the chance of rain. Its just plain stupid. |

I'm watching universal's coverage on tv at the moment, with the idiotic American commentators. The color guy is repeatedly calling Ciolek "See-o-lek."
Also, Sammy Sanchez is apparently "struggling" and needs to "step it up" if he wants to get a chance to win, and Horner and Danielson are favorites.
Really, I'm starting to get pissed.

Okay... I hate to be a stupid american... but how do you pronounce his name?
Most people in the US reading that name would probably assume "See-o-lek" is the proper pronunciation. |

I wonder how people would feel if I called Europeans stupid and snobbish. Just an observation of a ridiculous double standard. Also, it is utterly ridiculous to suggest that races should be organized to avoid inclement conditions. Last I checked cycling was an outdoor sport. Sprinting in the rain is no different than climbing a mountain at 10 percent with narrow roads. I'm a bit biased because I think sprinters are pansies though. Sit in, do no work, get all the glory at the end. Sickening really. I think they should put lead out men or domestiques on the podium if their sprinter wins.

I'd say that's exactly the same, as "ee" is pronounced almost identically with "i", in English that is, in German it's a different case.

I agree, I'm really bad with phonetics, but the announcer is clearly not saying that. |

Try riding at 45 miles an hour while butting heads with two guys next to you.
To be honest I think sprinters are pansies, but so are most GC guys. Cobble riders and big fighters like Voigt are the guys who get my respect. |

Eh, for the money they're paid, I do it for free with guys who have little idea what they are doing, they aren't that bad off. I will agree that the classics riders are the toughest though. They're the riders who truly enjoy suffering.

Because, of course, riding through all terrain to get to one flat stage at the end of 20 other days of torture is pansy-like. Not to mention continually putting limb, and life, on the line in a hope to cross the line first. Such as we saw today. Yep. Pansies.
They are to pansies, as you are to women. |

been studying german in elementary school and know a thing or two.
