Last time for sprinters to collect Pro Tour points before Vuelta..
65 km to go..and Lang atack..he has company..
Buffaz and ..this is surprise Farrar. But not for long sprinters team Liquigas, Columbia, Milram will close this down fast..
Tempo is real fast ..when Boyer started he's "suicide" breakaway attempt..we have 39km to go.
26km to go after hill we have a split..
19.7 km. to ..Jens Voigt strong atack..Liberty sprinters Pinto and Cardoso in trouble already..this tempo is absolute "killer"
..and counter after Jens atack..Devolder, Hoste, Flecha..
Last hilltop and Devolder atack..he is getting away?
Descent..here he go's Devolder alone at the front..Hoste, Voigt and Flecha chasing..
They are back in Hamburg and lead group is back together..they should not start playing against each other..main group is close..
Jens knows taht he's only chanche is to go early..Flecha follows..that white jersey rider with blue helmet at the right side is already Boonen..
almost there..Voigt still leading..Flecha follows..but here is also O'Grady and Boonen..
Voigt is giving all..he is faiding..Flecha collecting a race win..just before O'Grady..Voigt is deserved 3rd.
Vilela was best Liberty rider 21 st.

Stage 1
Assen- Assen
Lets start with season last GT..We have nice strong startlist and today we take a look how they start. Plus great sprinters list..Cavendish, Farrar, Bennati, Freire, Hushovd, Ciolek..et..etc. They are all here..
I realy hope that leaders and GC favorites will avoid crashes at the opening day and we can solve a winner at the mountains
Lets start with Van den Broeck..This young man is here for just to support Evans? Today 18 sec. down and 39th.
One Plaza possible rivals.. Tondo 35. (+ 18 sec.)
Guerra..he is pleased after Burgos 6th. We gonna start Vuelta as it was in Giro..two leaders.. opening 26th. (+ 16 sec.)
Fränk starting a race as Saxo bank leader..58. (22 sec.) Not that bad..
and Plaza starting a Vuelta..there is no secret that he is our strongest man..and team is ready to support him..If help is needed. Preparation has been perfect..18. (+ 14 sec.)
I was expecting to see Valverde has Caisse leader but they are out with 3 strong riders..Gutierrez, Arroyo and Pereiro..Pereiro 14. (+13 sec.)..he seems to be ready.
Gutierrez..7th. (+ 6 sec.)
Menchov..I know he is in top form..he absolutely dominated in Burgos..win-podium candidate...today 8th. (+ 9 sec.)
Bert Grabsch turning he's big gear fast enough today..to have a prologue win..
Another TT specialist ..Larsson 5th. (+4 sec.)
Sami Sanchez..Euskaltel rider is after podium place..13. (+11 sec.)
Real interesting name..Mosquera who will loose time in TT and is forced to atack at the mountains..I am eager to follow he's progress 94. (+31 sec.)
Contador helper Brajkovic 135. (+ 37 sec.)
I hope he is more active compared to Volta Portugal..Boom ..great start today..11. (+10 sec.)
I was surprised not to find Basso in Giro startlist..But here he is now..Hug question mark 44. (+19 sec.)
Man who is wearing nr. 1 is also win candidate ..Evans 3rd. (+ 4 sec.)
Klöden 6th. (+ sec.)..Astana mountain power is scary..When they decided to use this one day..Zubeldia, Brajkovic and Klöden..they Plaza and guys are in real trouble..
Contador..hugh favorite ...TdF winner..10th. (+ 10 sec.)
Monfort..I loved Columbia tactic in Giro.. Monfort and Siotsou nice shared a leader role..and now they are again both in Spain..Monfort today not good enough 118. (+ 33 sec.)
Last man off the ramp today..Isidro Nozal 51. (+ 20 sec.)

Not a bad start, How's Plaza's fitness going into this race? Have his stats changed at all? Did you use a MO training camp? I remember getting a 4th with Plaza when I played with LS but I never used a training camp, so I could see him being 80+mo and having a shot at the podium depending.
Great Story and Good Luck

Stage 2
Opening day..for sprinters.
(3d crashed right after so I missed to take enough screenshots and exported results)
29,5km. to ..Cavendish was droped.
Then more surprises Impey and Monfort droped. What was hapening back there realy dont know..
For sprint there was enough aces to left.. I know that when I like to take max out from Manuel Cardoso we should try at the first stages..
Thor won a stage and got a leader jersey ..Cardoso ..not bad..3rd. today.
There was also crash..most unhappy team was Caisse Pereiro and Rodriquez was down..they will loose 2'58.. Brajkovic lost almost 8 min , today..
For 3rd. stage I already have normal report and exported results..

Stage 3
Venlo - Lieja
..and second stage for sprinters..
I have to admit..Thor is looking real cool with golden jersey..
Brajkovic lost yesterday over 7min..and today he is again first who will be droped...injury?...Totaly out of shape? There is more for Astana..Roteta, Montoya..can not follow. Seems like Astana had problems to fill 9 riders list.
Cardoso follows Ivanov backwheel...is it mistake? Because Ivanov going absolutely flat out..this is will hurt now!
..and sprint. Rojas and Manuel Cardoso at the front..but sprinters closing.
Last corner.Rojas keep on riding-pushing. This is to much for Cardoso ..he is fading
Rojas takes a stage win..2nd. O'Grady..3rd. Steegman..Manuel Cardoso was 6th. today..
It is early to make any conclusions ..but Cardoso has been so far ok..
Every day has given us new GC leader. No exeptions ...José Joaquín Rojas is new GC leader.

Stage 4
First hills..hilly last part is always dangerous and open. This profile should be perfect for Plaza who has been good suchlike of nervous stages..
Eisel and Knees are inside breakaway group..that is hint that Knees aint aiming GC spot?
..108km. to go..and tempo has changed..Saxo, Euskaltel and Caisse controlling a race..and they have a lot of man power for this.
90km to go..surprise Broco can not follow. He is man who took last Vuelta spot from Filipe Cardoso..this is aint good. I still remeber how he totaly cracked in Giro..
69km to go..Herrero atack..it has started now.
Counter ..Wegmann and Albasini..
30km. to go..Sousa has no energy to keep up with leaders..
20,8km. to go..Mosquera and Pereiro launced a short atack on the summit..Plaza follows..they slow down and wait main group..not yet.
Moment after that ..Cobo atack..this is serious now..
Cobo has cought final breakaway rider Eisel..and he keep on pushing forward..
Then another atack..Menchov, Nocentini and Gilbert..
Then Fränk..we can see Plaza in back..getting off the saddle and atacking after him..
Situation in descent about 10km. to go..Cobo alone at the front..
Then Gilbert with Eisel..
E3..chase group Contador, Menchov, Sami Sanchez, Nocentini, Mosquera, Fränk Schleck ,Plaza..
..tempo is fast enough..Plaza is suffering. Then Sanchez atack..how strong he can be to atack when group is riding with crazy speed...
Last km sign is after corner Cobo and Gilbert was at the front..when Sanchez arrived..wow..what a come back.
..and sprint..Gilbert has rested a little behind Cobo ..now he takes a lead. Sanchez is to tired to respond..
Stage win for Gilbert..
Contador group coming 1'15 later..bad news is that main group has cought them . All this Plaza effort was for nothing..
and traditional new race leader ,...This time it is Samuel Sanchez..this takes time now to kick him out of that position. Maybe is there to stay?

Stage 5
Tarragona - Vinaroz
We are now in Spain..but this return to home won't help Gutierrez...20km to go and he cant follow main group speed. He has injured himself at the opening day crash?
Sprint..Cardoso in position..follows Saxo bank train..he is riding season best tour so far. Always there and ready to fight..
..and sprint. Gert Steegmans at the front..Columbia is planning something..Cervelo train at the left side. Cardoso just need to follow..
..and Thor takes over..Freire first time in the game..
Thor still leading. Cavendish is closing and fast..to late.
Thor takes a second stage win..
sry. I forget to click exported results.. |

Stage 6
Xativa - Xativa
Last stage before TT and first mountain stage..
This is ridiculous..big team as Astana sending to Vuelta riders like Roteta and Montoya..they are first riders who will be droped. To jump forward..this was also theyr last day..reason outside the time limit..
Tempo is today..fastest what I have ever experienced. Stage supposed to be for sprinters ..but now it is about surviving..many riders can keep up. Another split...Nuno Ribeiro can not follow.
6km. to go..and no sprint for us. Manuel Cardoso is droped..just Guerra and Plaza left at the main group.
and that was Ivanov again..who caused lot of trouble in last 3km. He was at the front and pulling fast as possible. Guerra is in red zone..
..and sprint..Samuel Sanchez, Zubeldia?...Kroon
Sanchez have solid lead..Freire is coming..Mirko Lorenzetto, Florencio..
First stage win for tour leader Sanchez..
Next day is TT day..after that first serious mountain test..
