I sure hope so. Stage 2 coming up and Wiggins won't be contending for the overall unless he is really strong in the 147 km time trial. Any suggestions on what my strategy should be.

Stage 2
Stage 2 has a couple steep climbs that should take out most of the sprinters. No surprise was that there was a breakaway but it was a surprise that it was Karsten Kroon trying to go by himself.
He built up a gap of 10 minutes by himself and it looked like he could win the stage. The team would rather have the pressure on another team so we sat back in the peloton and let other teams do the work. I was relaxed in my white jersey.
It was no surprise that both Farrar and Sutton were dropped on the climbs but it was a surprise that Wiggins and Millar were dropped. A completely weird stage. The final 20 kilometers were downhill but for some reason the spectators were inches from falling off a huge ledge. A weird place to have a stage. In the sprint finish Leezer beat out Vaitkus and Cancelarra while Dekker finished 6th and Vandevelde 10th.
Cunego lost almost 5 minutes and Kloden abandoned despite no crashes.

I don't know if i should do a normal middle number like 50% or 55% or a really really low number like 5% or 2%.

do 2,7% i think that´s the best strategy in such a short time trial.
however good luck for that |

Call From National Team Manager
I got a call from the National Team Manager and he told me some great news. I am on of the finalist for both the TT and the RR. The three finalists for the TT are Roche, Close(future Garmin rider), and Me. The finalists for the RR are Deignan, Roche, and me. The final selections won't be made until the day of the World Championships so there is still a long time to wait. I now have a 1 in 3 shot at the TT and a 2 in 3 shot at the RR. I'm just full of excitment.

Mark Renshaw Joins the Team
Renshaw is the newest addition to the team. He will be a great leadout man for Farrar and could get a chance to be a sprinter on his own. Our team is shaping up very well for next team.

Stage 3
Today's stage is a flat stage than, believe it or not, is actually flat. Our team wants a breakaway to succeed and take the responsibilities of the jersey but the sprinters teams will not want the same thing. Early in the stage I was able to relax again and talk with another contender for the White Jersey, Roman Kreuziger.
A group of 8 got away and were able to build up a gap of 13 minutes with 70 kilometers left.
It looked like the would make it but the peloton increased it's speed and they were caught 30 kilometers from the finish leaving the stage to the sprinters. Farrar was feeling good and decided to take the wheel of his biggest competitor Eisel.
Unfortunately the train Eisel was on really slowed down pushing Farrar back into the middle of the peloton while Cancelarra was getting a great leadout Jens Voigt. Cancellara was so far ahead when he began sprinting that he easily took the stage win and the green jersey.
Farrar finished all the way back in 16th.

I would have erased his memory and sent him to Somalia but what you did is good too.
I guess this one has more chances to win Le Tour though.

Stage 4
Another flat stage so I will keep the report short. Just like stage 2 Kroon got in a breakaway and then tried to go by himself.
He did take the KOM points and will wear the KOM jersey for at least a couple more days. Kroon was caught with 20 kilometers left. Our plan today was for Sutton to lead Farrar out. Sutton got Farrar to the front but Farrar decided to jump on to another train that would give Farrar a better chance to win.
\
Farrar was in great position and out sprinted all the other riders for his first stage win of the Tour. Sutton did well to hold on to 5th place.
