In a comment on cyclingnews, Millar suggests he hasn't been overtraining.
I think its interesting that he attacked on stage 2 also, perhaps assuming that he wasn't going to be as good in the mountains. So maybe he isn't putting pressure on himself and results are improving because of that.
Millar has the capabilities on climbing stages - though in truth a lot of his results prior to his doping conviction will always have a shadow over them. I have always felt a good time trialler who is light should do well on climbs. Another great British Time Trailer of the past like Chris Boardman did well in small stage races in big mountains. Guys like Michael Rogers, Bradley McGee and Dave Zabriske can surprise in big mountains. As you say now Bradley Wiggans will start to feel confidence in the climbs (though I am afraid Bert Grabsch will never be a climber!)
However, all those guys don't quite have the endurance and recovery to do it again and again which is what is needed in GT's. Of course endurance and recovery leads us into what kind of things can improve that - I wonder no I won't go into that!!! |

I'm just hoping for a great stage.
It's very difficult to predict the winner. Valverde has something to prove, and I guess he wants to pressure ASO by winning this race, so he might give it everything today. Evans and Contador won't waste too much energy, but will go for the win if there's a chance. |

If we can trust Dan Frost (Saxo DS) Fuglsang will win . Personally I think Gesink or Valverde will win.

Heh. Fédrigo says if Van de Walle wasn't there he would've let Goubert have the win.
Goubert is 39 and has never won a race. |

neither do I, but I fell sorry for a 39 years old man that had never won anything.

Stupid france3 stream. It says I'm not in France. Damn it. So I have to use channel.34, but the quality is horrible.

Thanks, Ad. The problem is that, for some reason beyond my understanding, justin channels don't load here. So I have to use channel34, unfortunately. That sucks. And I have been using france3 these days, but today it says I'm not in France, I don't know why.
