Speaking of Nadal and doping i am quite sure he was involved. He was playing a tournament when Fuentes got busted and Nadal quickly dropped out and took the first plane back to Spain. He wasnt injured or anything like that and the timing of his actions can only be linked to Operation Puerto i think.
1.5 weeks later when it stood clear that there where no evidence of names involved he started to play again.
Maybe saying they will not test for it is just a trick to get those who use it to be less careful so they can be caught. Would be a big shame if they didnt test for it. |

In general, it's no wonder what Spain isn't interested in opening this case. I mean, remember what his wife said:
"I know what happened at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992."
Perez said "many Olympic medals" were won by Spain thanks to her husband. Spain won a record 13 gold medals at the Barcelona Games.
"It's a Pandora's Box and if opened one day, it could bring down sport,"

Kohl has come out with a lot of statements, has anyone asked him,
a) why he suddenly got so much better if he had been doping the entire time.
b) why he got caught when he did?

Because they know that you don't finish third in the Tour simply from bread and water, that the medical aspect has to be there, too. They said, 'he's no risk, we can spend a lot of money on him.
This sort of stuff makes me sad.
And how the hell Hans-Michael Holczer didn't figure out the whole doping, I mean, one rider OK, but 4 ! Really strange.
Really too bad
Also, Kashechkin's return isn't a good news
GO OUT DOPEHEADS !

God damn it, the UCI say they haven't started yet to study whether to make Valverde's suspension global because they still haven't received the dossier.
For god's sake

Soler has tendinitis.
Also, CĂ©dric Vasseur wants to start his own team in 2010. DIE DOPEMONGER DIE. CRAWL UNDER A ROCK AND DIE.
bah.
EDIT: oh, and Milram is pondering firing one of their doctors. He was named by Kohl.

Austrian authorities have requested the cooperation of the Rabobank team, to determine exactly which riders on the team were using the Humanplasma clinic for their doping needs.
The austrian police is understood to have indication that a large number of riders of the dutch team cooperated with the lab in the past.
It is also worth pointing out that Rabobank riders such as Mikael Rasmussen and Thomas Dekker have in the past been associated with agent Stefan Matschiner, believed to be at the center of the doping ring.
The dutch cycling team has responded favourably to the request, indicating they will assist authorities in any way necessary.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
rumour going around is that lampre (the sponsor) has asked lampre (the team) to fire Bruseghin for encouraging the riders' strike in Milano.
Also, the sponsor is rumoured to be unhappy with the performance of Cunego recently.
Personally, it's clear to me from Cunego's statements and performances that it's because he's been riding clean since mid-last year.
Heck, most people would do the same in his case, considering that 3 of his teammates tested positive in the first half of last year alone. Clearly their attempts to mask the doping weren't working properly.

He shouldn't return, as all the other dopers |

I was thinking about it..few days ago. Bruseghin in clearly best GC rider in such big team as Lampre..Ballan was injured. They have a terrible year..
And now also are a little in panic..they should change something for next season and this should be hugh and expencieve..(as most important race for them is Giro..then ..hell why not Pellizotti)

Whats there to know. Top riders like menchov are gonna get banned. No surprise. Lots of riders will be discredited. Just another doping scandal. We're all used to it by now. I can't wait for next one. I wonder who will be left when its all done. |

No, the guy is saying that menchov was summoned to a hearing in Austria after Kohl named him. That's huge.
Which is why I'm asking for the link where he got the information from. I could be from a respectable media source, or it could be from one of those newspapers that always makes up crap.
