well in that hilly sprint everything can happen if you have a good position and you took the good wheels so Geslin's victory isn't too surprising if you ask me...
good luck for the Tour.

Stage 2
Auray - Saint Brieuc
another beautiful day..now he have 2 sprinters stages to go before first TT..
de Jeux at the front..with tour leader Geslin..moment to remember..
Now ready for sprint..again everyone is after Saxo bank lead out man ..O'Grady, Fischer, Breschel, Huhshovd..
..and a sprint..Breschel is off ..Hinacapie in the same line..where is Boonen where is Cavedish?
..and Fischer all out..he is trying to pass Breschel..Quicstep raider..Boonen? no..this is Chavanel
..and there is Boonen he is after Fischer..tour leader Geslin enters the game..
Fischer takin a lead..Hushovd at the left side..Boonen is gonna pass Fischer?
..ou..wow. Fischer wins TdF stage nr. 2..Boonen was a little late..
Fischer takes yellow..great merit for veteran who will retire after this season.
Suisse tour point jersey win wasnt just lucky shot..Fischer has specialy prepeared for tour. At least Liqugias has got yellow in 2009 TdF...for a day at least.
Rebellin will get KOM jersey..

Stage 3
Saint-Malo - Nantes
Last sprint stage before first TT and first serious Tour leader..

..and there go's Cavedish and Boonen damn they are fast..Breschel still in the middle..
Boonen is leading..can Cavedish over take him..Breschel is fading
Fischer just need to keep pushing and take max.points today..

damn Cavendish looked like he was in the perfect position but still Boonen won. Good sprint with Fisher against those sprint 'monsters'.

Hey Guido,
New to this forum, but I have been lurking for some time. Just had to register and say keep up the good work on this story. The Giro D'Italia sure was pretty gripping, though there was some irony that Valverde was ripping things up in the beginning!
Le Tour has certainly started off pretty well with Fischer involved in all the stages. Looks like his main rivals will be Boonen and Hushovd. I am looking forward to seeing how (admittedly Cyalogic) Armstrong and co rip things up on the climbs later on in the Tour in particular the Alpe D'Heuz stage.
Fingers crossed you can keep Kreuzinger out of trouble and his daily form is good on the right stages. |

61. edition
Stage 3
Salzburg - Kitzbüheler Horn
Wow Kitzbüheler is hard in winter to alp skiing..but also no mercy to in summer..
Man who knows what he is doing..2002 and 2003 Austria tour winner Glomser ..atacking first..
Young raider jersey holder Velits is going after...
..then garzelli trying to get away..but now has yesterday Serramenti PVC controlling the race..they ride back..wow Glomser is still out there..
Second wave..Bruseghin, Trampusch, Gardenas, Velits
Garate managed to get into..
..then Simoni..Garzelli..Noe and lex Ardila
Inside underpass Simoni is trying to go alone after Glomser..
But they coming back together..
Simoni atacking once more..
..but Velits and Garate looks even stronger..they close that gap fast downs and aslo take control. Bruseghin does not looking good. Noe first time in difficulty..out of picture..
Looks like Glomser will take stage win..Velits and Garate ..after that Simoni group ..good news is that Noe is back in this group..
Looks like Glomser himself is a little surprised..he was raiding last hard climb all alone..and still managed to keep the lead..
...this is already over a red fight for Noe..after stage 6th. in GC..well done so far..
Glomser...stage win..KOM jersey..leader jersey. This is what you get when you prepeared to this event.
