I know I promised I'd be back in November, but I have a big assignment coming up for School in December and it's very important. We're off from school the whole month almost to write, so that's what I'll ne doing prior to Christmas .
Anyway, I'll return in 2008 or maybe somewhere between Christmas and New Year, but don't count too much on it, as that week is normally dedicated to something totally different . The story I've been writing so far has been with the original DB. I've switched to PCM Spain, so I can't be bothered changing back just to start this, so what I am going to do is as following.
I have a nice savegame I'm playing with right now, where I am currently in February 2009, so I figured I would start off with a blast, by reporting from the 2009 Tour de France, where everything is looking to set up for a showdown with Contador vs. Dekker vs. Schleck for the Tour crown.

Okay, screw that Tour 2009-thing. I'm sticking with this savegame when I tomorrow give you the first stage of the Tour de Luxembourg . On top of that I've decided to up the level to hard.

June 6: Skoda Tour de Luxembourg - Prologue | Luxembourg > Luxembourg – 6 km
Team: Andy Schleck, Alexandr Kolobnev, Marcus Ljungqvist, Kurt-Asle Arvesen, Lars Michaelsen, Luke Roberts, Chris Anker Sørensen and Michael Blaudzun.
Well, back in the saddle. After an indescribable ride through Italy, we’ve come somewhat north for this small stage race, which is kind of nice after all the fuss that affects a Grand Tour. A little surprisingly we’ve brought Andy Schleck, following his Giro win. It was on his own request to come here and we can’t turn down our wonderboy can we?
Today’s prologue is a short route through the capital of Luxembourg, which is also called Luxembourg. The first rider onto the course was our very own Aussie, Luke Roberts. Luke is in pretty good form, as he clocked a fast time to go provisional 1st (which shouldn’t be a problem as he was the first rider on the course). It wouldn’t go too long however before Luke’s hopes would vanish, as Panaria’s Sergey Matveyev beat him by 3 seconds.
Luke and Matveyev were the first favourites to take the stage and the Ukrainian would come out on top.
A little later Mark Renshaw went 3rd, before Müller of Skil-Shimano took the provisional lead, pushing Luke down to 3rd. Our second best rider so far Blaudzun was pushed to 6th. Not much happened for a while then as none of our next riders in line were decent TTtists. Kurt-Asle lived it up a bit as he went provisional 8th, before home-favourite and Giro winner Andy Schleck would ride into the provisional lead ahead of former CSC-rider Christian Müller.
Arvesen and Schleck turning the heat on as we were in for a great day.
Unfortuneately one rider was just better than Andy today. Rigoberto Uran of Unibet set a stunning time, as he beat Andy by 3 seconds to claim the first leader’s jersey of the race. A little later Dutch tempo specialist Stef Clement took the stage, but he couldn’t break into the top 3, which in the end went to Uran, Schleck and Müller.
Urán was the strongest rider in the peloton today, meaning he will wear the yellow jersey tomorrow.
So Uran takes the yellow jersey, meaning Andy will get to wear the point’s jersey on tomorrow’s stage to Mondorf.
Forgot to export the results, so bear with me .

Merry Christmas - Here's my present from me to you. I hope you like it
June 7: Skoda Tour de Luxembourg – Stage 1 | Luxembourg > Mondorf – 174 km
Today’s stage features some small hills that could cause a stir in the pack and maybe Andy will be able to benefit from those hills, eventhough his biggest opponents Uran is quite strong in the hills aswell. Andy showed on yesterday’s prologue that he’s the guy we should put our money on if we were to come away with the win in this race.
Some riders would inevitably try their luck on today’s course from Luxembourg to Mondorf.
The TV break consisted of a total of 12 riders, with 9 riders leadning constantly ahead of the three others. In the front group we have Knaven, Musiol, Ouchi, Reus, Aldape Chavez, Kern, Kindgen, McLachlan and Clancy. The trailing trio was Bonnaire, Herve and Redondo, who never made contact with the other guys up the road.
With 50 km to go the road turned lumpy as the riders entered the small hills I mentioned earlier. Elk-Haus’ Thomas Rorhegger didn’t hesitate a whole lot before he decided to take off from the pack with 50 km to go. He never made contact however and he was back in the pack with 30 km to go. With 25 km to go the gap to the breakaway, now only containing Knaven, Musiol, Kindgen, Reus, McLachland and Kern, had its gap cut to just one and a half minute, meaning they were going to get caught.
Rohregger wanted something out of today’s ride, but he simply wasn’t strong enough.
With 15 km to go the break was caught as we closed the remaining gap on them with the whole team relaying. Moments later we hit the final hill of the day and Andy, who was feeling phenomenal decided to take off. No one followed.
Andy got a gap immediately and it looked good for the Giro Champ.
Andy gave it his all on the last 10 kilometres and he wasn’t going to get caught. Apparently he was still very much on form after his fantastic Giro. He kept the gap static at about 1 minute for a few kilometres but on the last couple of kilometres, the pack speeded up and started gaining a lot. But as I said, no one was going to catch him and he strolled home for another beautiful victory. The 6th of his season.
It was no Zoncolan but it was still enough for Andy to prove his strenght once again as he claimed a beautiful win.
Geslin of Bouygues won the sprint of the pack, where Kurt-Asle managed 6th. Andy would move to the top of the rankings overtaking Rigoberto Uran, who wasn’t even bothered to answer to Andy’s attack. Andy can now be defensive and just make sure he knows where Uran is.
