1/3 of 2008 season -- completed
So here we are, 30th of April. The team had very nice results so far and he is in the top of every rankings wich for sure makes the sponsors happy. In the next couple of minutes will be presented to yo a review of the first part of the season, you can read about the rankings, the sponsors relation with the manager and to see some results of our best riders
Rankings
So here they are the the rankings. The ProTour and the Superprestige are dominated by Columbia riders
ProTour
Individual
Teams
Superprestige
Individual
Teams
Victories
Individual
Teams
Manager and sponsors
The bad thing is that the team lost the 2 goals that were included in the first part of the season, even without them the sponsor confidence is EXCELENT
Of course a lot of pluses were conceded in the rest of the races and here they are from the higher to the lower
80 podiums so far and the first position in the ProTour Team Rankings are perfect for the manager
Riders
Lars Boom
The dutchman specialist on CycloCross started the season as a free agent but with just a few days before the transfers window was close he signed with Team Columbia. A win so far in Tour of Georgia and the KOM jersey in the same race.
Mark Cavendish
The main sprinter of the team did very well at the start of the season in Qatar but then he couldn't do any good results until the victory in Tour of Georgia, wich places him in a perfect position for the Giro
Bernhard Eisel - UCI ProTour: 59th
Bernhard started the season as the 4th sprinter in the team and now he is second, probably the main helper for Mack Cavendish. He did well also in the cobbled races
Linus Gerdemann - UCI ProTour: 5th
The main goal this year for Linus Gerdemann will be the Tour de France. In preparation of that he did well in 2 one week races in the ProTour calend, winnning Tirreno-Adriatico and Vuelta al Pais Vasco
George Hincapie - UCI ProTour: 7th
Except the Milano - San Remo win, Big George could't do anything important in the ProTour cobbled races and so the managers are not very happy and he probably will leave the team at the end of this season.
Thomas Lovkvist - UCI Pro Tour: 68th
After the overall win in California and the KOM jersey in Paris Nice Thomas didn't compete in other races, preparing for the season final where he will be the team leader in Vuelta a Espana.
Michael Rogers - UCI ProTour: 41st
The Australian Championships and a top 10 in the home race Tour Down Under and Tirreno Adriatico are the results of Michael Rogers so far. He could save the season with an performance in TDF or in the WC TT race.
Kim Kirchen - UCI ProTour: 1st
He couldn't win any of the Ardennes Classics, being 2n, 3rd and 4th. But with the victory in Paris Nice, the 2nd place in Milano - Sanremo behind George Hincapie and the Ardennes results helped him to be in the front of The ProTour Rankings with just 9 points more than Alessandro Ballan.
Marcel Sieberg
No one expected very much from him but he surprised us with a very good result in Qatar. Maybe he will be in the team for TDF.
Marco Pinotti - UCI ProTour: 63rd
2 podiums in 2 Vuelta al Pais Vasco stages and a win in the TT in Tour of Georgia are the season best results for the italian TT champion, Marco Pinotti. He will be one of the leaders in Giro.
Bradley Wiggins
No results for him before the Tour of Georgia where he got the points jersey and 2wins both after breakaways.

Well, there's definitely something wrong if Brad Wiggins is winning road races. |

The comment is more about Brad than anything else, alex.
Don't think he's won a road stage yet in his career. He's also probably clean...

Subida al Naranco
The poor breakaway of the day was caught so in the final kms the favourites were in front
Plaza leads in the last km..
But Luis Leon Sanchez wins it
A good performance by Siutsou
