Though honestly I wouldn't object to training having less of an impact. In this first season even just 1 point per training block would have been a decent deal (0.2 points per RD), only the Wilier riders scored more through racing (11/45= 0.24, 10/45=0.22). It seems prudent to book 3 training blocks again next season, even as the riders improve, but that'd be another 30 points which can't realistically be gained in 15 days racing.

I thought that was the point...early on we should be focused more on training rather than racing...otherwise the number of potential legendary riders will be too small.
Plus, the less focus on early results allows some rider type diversity which you wouldn't see if everything depended on early career results...
