Does anyone have an easy way of selecting the national teams? Because it doesn't work over regular selection. Otherwise need to make a DB with national teams, yay -.-

Well then it's official: sgdanny is one of the best people in the world!
But how come so fast? It feels like I already need 30 minutes to make those national teams themselves in the DB. #noob

World Championships Time Trial
Preview
After the Team Time Trial we remain in the terrain of fighting against the clock. The Professional and U23 Time Trials are up next on our schedule of events. With some of the greatest current cyclists in competition for gold the Time Trial should be a thriller to watch. Meanwhile, the U23 Time Trial showcases some of the most impressive upcoming stars in cycling.
The route
In both races, the riders will take on a 46,3 kilometer long ride from Quarata to Firenze. For the first 31 kilometers, the route presents itself rather flat and without too much hassle. However, some may fear windy conditions. After the second checkpoint, the riders have to take on the road to Crono #3. This climb features as a challenge for a bit more than 3 kilometers, at a maximum slope of 10%. From there, the descent may favor guys like Cancellara and anyone brave enough to risk anything for a medal. Eventually, the riders finish near the Nelson Mandela forum.
Original route of 57.9 km - from Montecatini Terme to Florence – got canceled because apparently roads havn’t been made.

Hardly anybody can take away the honours of being called the obvious favourite from Tony Martin for this race. The German is without a doubt THE specialist par excellence when it comes to Time Trials and for him only gold will count today.
Although Martin might be described as the current best Time Trialist, Fabian Cancellara still holds the record with 4 rainbow jerseys. The Swiss has specialized in the classics in recent years but is still a force to be reckoned with in his original discipline.
Similar things can be said about Sir Bradley Wiggins, who has transformed himself to a stage racer in past years, which ultimately cumulated in his greatest summer ever: 2012, when he took first le Tour and Olympic Gold in London’s Time Trial.
There’s a whole lot of other characters though that are worth following as soon as the TV turns on. Tour and Vuelta winner Chris Froome is easily the best, most overpowered stage racer of the year so far but his quality in Time Trials make him a real danger here too. Americans Tejay Van Garderen and Taylor Phinney will look to consolidate for their Team Time Trial and will want a medal as sweet revenge. Adriano Malori, Wilco Kelderman, Tom Dumoulin, Rohan Dennis and Sylvain Chavanel are definitely in for a great result too.
If the U23 Time Trial might not be enough for you, you can also spot some other EPIC youngsters here today as well. Josef Hintermüller, Thomas Schwabe and Jorge Cristobal Riquelme stand little shot against the high quality competition, but maybe Po-Ding Kim can make something happen for the Glorious Republic of North Korea.

Before we’ll catch the Men’s Time Trial, the U23 upcoming talents will get the stage in order to show themselves to the world. Some of the youngster are recognized and established names in the business already, others might turn out to be future greats. And then there are those who are just here for the experience gain and the fun.
Two big names for the race are certainly North Korea’s weapon of choice, Po-Ding Kim, and San Marinese Silvio Pennarossa. Uhm, certainly not two cycling bastions… but maybe when North Korea annexes San Marino, you know. Po-Ding Kim is thereby an outspoken favourite for this race, his Time Trial skills are able to match the very best of Martin, Wiggins & Cancellara.
Jordan Birtles meanwhile follows in the recent footsteps of Wiggins, Froome et al. As a nation of great tradition in track cycling, Birtles might turn out to be the next big thing for them. He could celebrate some stardom lately with recent wins in Denmark and made a late signing with Garmin-Sharp after being previously signed by RadioShack for next season. Quite some transfer confusion. As one of the favourites, he is expected to achieve a podium today.
Strangely enough Luke Dubridge is the only name of the U23 category who has a shot at the victory from real riders. But as certainly one of the best Time Trialists, his chances are rather great. Regardless of this, the EPIC youngster bias is quite extensive in this race and shows itself in a weak startlist, where numerous names of quality such as Phinney, Malori or Kelderman did not make the race. Even Christian De Vries, Maroquane Sharif, Johnny Schmidt and recent Vuelta stage winner Oreste Ghita wern't selected for various reasons.
Riders who are riding both races are Po-Ding Kim, Josef Hintermüller, Thomas Schwabe and Riquelme. Boy, those guys need some real great recovery then…
See you around Firenze!

Would be nice if we could pick up a medal in each event, Dennis and Birtles being the weapon of choice.

Unfortunately I've run into some race selection issue. It seems that 1-9 riders per team is not possible at a max count of 25, since in theory the game understands it that it will 225 riders. 200 is max as I understand though.
So for the men's road race country managers can either way delete one of their riders or I just won't select the worst rider of your line-up, based upon route (hill, flat, stamina stat are main concern).
Nations include: Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, USA. Please post choice as soon as possible. Link to Startlist

Well, fuck me sideways. None of us thought about that.
I'll remove Busche from the Elite team and Luke Keough from the U23s. Nobody is getting rid of the mighty Novo Nordisk rider.

I just raced the U23 race for fun and the result were that 13 out of the 15 first were Custom Riders and that the first 8 was only Custom Riders.
Spoiler Winner was Adrien Hanzen xD
Conclusion : The startlist is perfect for a race, which focus is on getting Custom Riders as leaders

Hmm, a lot of teams don't have 9 riders, so the number of 200 riders should never be reached. Not even close.
Anyway: Team BE drops Steels in the U23 and Meersman in Elites
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, but that doesn't matter. It's enough for PCM that in theory it can be more than 200 riders with 25 Niner teams. It then only shows 22 teams in the selection screen.
