Quite happy with my team, even though I wasted round 2. One guy that can help Sammy till halfway up the mountain would've been nice. Ah well, let's start
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

As many of you have noticed you can now post in the thread in the story section.
Reserve one post in that thread and do your team proud with a presentation.
Presentations can include amongst other things the following:
--- Rider INFO
--- Coach INFO
---- Sponsor INFO
---- Race Goals
---- Predictions
About three of you still haven't expressed who you want the bonus from your coach to go to (I will apply the bonus to the rider I think you would have chosen if you don't say)
. You have about one hour as I am making the final changes to the database before the stats of all riders/ teams will be posted in POST 3 in the story section later today. |

Oh, I'll at least wait with my team presentation until I get the team stats, so I can include it in my presnetation

Already applied about 85% of the bonuses. The three who haven't have like 51 minutes to say who they want.
I will try and get the stat screenshots (including bonuses) up around 6 pm today, depends how long my run will last in the meantime. |

All of the teams adjusted stats after the bonuses have been posted in the story games thread. (Even Marmite!)
Based on what happened in TOTC 1 KAS looks to be a very strong team which could end up winning the ULTRA CLASSIFICATION as the TOTC1 winners, Quilmes, were a team which succeeded in many breaks and had Kashechkin finish 5th which lead to Kentaurus winning the ULTRA by a huge margin. Quilmes were a team made of strong breakaway riders similar to KAS.
If not KAS, maybe the battle for GC will decide the Ultra Classification with Scarponi, Evans, and Sami Sanchez looking to be the stand out men for GC. The team which wins the TTT will have a big start that is for sure.
ATM the first stage (The TTT) is scheduled for Saturday morning. So be there! If you want to post a preview for who will challenge for what jerseys in the story games thread then go ahead. |

Youth classification? Is that people that don't require a zimmerframe to get to the race start?
Also, go KAS . Still gutted someone took Lastras and Verdugo though, they would have completed my team nicely. |

The start list has been created/tested so all the guys will turn up at the start.
Just one more thing really: Do you want riders to wear their generic NC jerseys if they are the NC? |

There will be no NC's this time around.
I'm really impressed with the guys that have done there team presentations/ previews.
The racing starts on Saturday morning with the TTT (one of the most important stages for the Ultra classification). |

Due to time limitations (exam tomorrow morning),
I didn't have time yet to do the team presentation.
Will study some more tonight so I'll probably do the presentation when it's started already. |

See this thread for all of the racing action.
Stage 1 is up and stage 2 will be up in the next few hours with a whole load of action and some big names and one gigantic name abandoning already. |

With the TOTC 2 well underway I am returning to this thread to discuss the outline/ set up of a potential TOTC3.
The idea behind TOTC 3 is the need for a wide open and competitive GC fight.
So I am thinking about the following:
------ Using the Giro route as a base route BUT replacing four stages of the route with 3 cobbled stages (including Gent Wevelgem) and Milan SanRemo.
------ Choosing Riders: --- 1 riders can have an average of up to 71-72.... 3 riders must have an average of up to 70........ 5 riders must have a average of 68 or below.
------ The system for choosing riders: As a lot of the eligible riders will be of very similar levels we will go back to the 'first come first serve' system for picking riders as we used in TOTC1.... YES I KNOW it is not the 'fairest' system but it was a lot of fun.
If anyone has any good ideas or opinions then offer them in this thread..... |

Hmm, sounds okay.
Will it run on PCM 11 or 13?

Take a Giro route that started with 3-4 stages not in Italy, then replace those with a couple of cobbled ones.
For riders perhaps go with something similar to TOTC1, one high avg rider and rest limited, but also add in an age limit so it's young riders.
And you know my views on rider selections.

I'm saying you should maybe use a fantasy race, then you could take it to real extremes, like super long TTs, cobbled mountains, mountain team time trials, 500km stages, things like that, but like my round the world in 80 days, just harder. I made something like this for pcm12, but I'm sure plenty of people, me included, would be interested in making something like this for pcm13 as well.
Just an idea. |
