The big Rabo show again. Vermeltfoort winning the sprint is no suprise this season. But Boom getting 2nd is. Seems like Boom can simply do everything. TT, sprint, hills... he used to be a climber too in his junior period (beating Andy Schleck in the Classique des Alpes), but he put on some weight since then, so I don't think he is capable of doing that anymore . Still, very allround and still only 22 |

Will Boom be moving up to the main Rabobank team at some point?

Vermeltfoort just seems unstoppable this season...

yeah, he seems to be the new sprinting hope for the Netherlands. However, Hans Dekkers was very good at the espoir level too and never made it. But then again, Vermeltfoort is far more complete and also wins hard cobble races like de Ronde van Drenthe with 1 minute advantage. So a mini-Boonen he is. Hope he makes it, but I stay carefull with these young guys. Some just reach their plateau already early.
Boom will move to the Rabo Pro Tour team next year. 90% sure of that |

indeed. examples of riders who were brilliant in youth categories and did nothing as professionals are a dime a dozen. |

China...now there's a blast from the past. the guy dominated Di Luca, Basso, Nocentini, etc. as juniors and did absolutely nothing as a professional. |

Anyway
Olympia's Tour stage 4
1. Bobbie Traksel P3 Transfer - Batavus
2. Johnny Hoogerland van Vliet - EBH - Elshof
3. Lieuwe Westra KrolStonE
Traksel, after being sick at the start of the this tour, recovered and easily won the sprint. He is preparing for a good Tour of Belgium later on. |

Vuelta a Catalunya is kinda funny these days, Hushovd won the first two stages, then French riders won all the stages (Dessel, Fédrigo, Chavanel today), while Pauriol is leading the general classification (he's a member at Cyanide's official forum, btw.) is that a new French Cup race or something ? |

so there's a new one after Brajkovic, eh? hopefully this one will say what he thinks, unlike Brajkovic
(If you remember, Brajkovic was quite pissed when people suggested he was signing for Astana and made a point of saying it wasn't true at all. a few weeks later, he signed for Astana )

I'm hating Catalunya this year... Where are the mountain stages, and very hard route??
This was clearly made for french riders, that can handle these not hard climbs and then have a descent to gain time
