Just caught up with the stream, I feared the worst after that water nightmare 
Though it's partly your fault, always look how the back of the peloton looks like, if there's no clear cut, you have to wait.

Yes the water issue hurt, twice actually, first in losing my right hand man in Pinotti, then again with Evans dropping back. Don't think I was going to win though either way, Nibali ran away from everyone else too.

Will get there, but have several things before, Dauphine, Suisse, NCs, Route du Sud, and the random cobbles of Halle - Ingooigem (put that in there just so Ballan could get in a cobbled race this year).

Team Goals
The elite riders for BMC will be at the Suisse later this week, so the team will make the best of what it has left here at the Dauphine. Several of the riders will be working to build form for the upcoming Tour de France or even national championships. We do hope Pinotti can be successful, and we really want to get Moinard out in front for the KoM in his home France. Danilo Wyss will be sprinting for us, and we are hoping for a good show from him as he finally puts a true start to his season.

The Dauphine starts with a 5.1 km prologue that features a climb over the last kilometer and a half that will challenge the riders. Expect the GC favorites to be near the top when the stage is over.
The best time from the early part of the day would be set by Astana's Dmitriy Gruzdev who is also the Kazakh national time-trial champion. His time of 9'54" would hold until the last wave of riders.
Lotto Belisol's, Jurgen Van den Broeck would be the first rider to finally breakthrough Gruzdev's time getting a four second edge mostly from a very fast climb up the hill.
The next rider to set the best time is Marco Pinotti. The BMC rider and former Italian time-trial champion would have a sluggish ride going under the first checkpoint, but was clearly saving for the climb where he easily set the best mark. And finished 16" ahead of Van den Broeck.
Chris Froome entered the stage as the the favorite, along with Alberto Contador. Contador would struggle as he continues to work on finding his form, but Froome was ready to have a good race following a sub-par Giro. He would set the best time at the checkpoint, but would lose ground to Pinotti on the climb finishing 2nd, six seconds back.

Stage two is listed as flat, though the early half of the stage is anything but flat. A somewhat lumpy descent to the finish should give the sprinters a chance to rest and race for a win.
Early KoM points would tempt many to try, but only a group of three would get out front. Amael Moinard of BMC would take the lead, but only by a point over a very strong Paul Martens (Blanco).
Paul Martens would give the field a tough run for their money as he attacks off the breakaway while the peloton is right behind them. Another 20k would pass though before Martens would finally be caught after a very hard chase from BMC.
The sprint wouldn't get to see sprinters at the front as the pace and course were just a bit too tough, stronger riders lead the way, with Murilo Fischer (FDJ) taking the win ahead of Jens Voigt and Michael Matthews. Race leader Marco Pinotti would finish 5th on the stage.
