Least it means the cameras won't cut away to him constant to see how many thousand miles he is behind the leaders.

16 away on stage 6 reportedly:
Nocentini, Montaguti, Boom, Martinez, Vicioso, Cunego, Intxausti, Visconti, Impey, O'Grady, Cancellara, Dumoulin, Sprick, Voss, Selvaggi and Finetto
Was going to say it will likely stick given the quality and the fact it will suit Sky but probably not as Nocentini is only at +51 secs in GC...
Thinking about it, they are probably gambling on Saxo and Sky getting cat and mousy. Which I doubt will work, but the Sky train broke early yesterday so I doubt they will wanna pull the whole race.

Sorry Nocentini at +3.05 on GC +51 secs was just yesterday's stage
Still bit close for comfort.
Others will want the time bonuses too.

That is one hell of group. And alot of AG2R too.
@Atlantis: I can't be bothered to argue with you. Personally, I believe professional cyclists are quite capable of riding just under thier limits. What they dont know is how far beyond them they can push on any one day, and a meter can't tell you that either.
But sure, yeah. Most cyclists are morons, team sky is only good cos of power meters and banning them will totally destroy team sky and they wont ever win anything again because we all know that the only way anyone british can win anything on a bike is by using sneaky meters and has nothing to do with riding ability or buying all the best riders.
See, you find getting the best riders in one team to pull a train boring. I find taking loads of drugs so you can sprint up mountains boring. Its a personal choice I guess.
Atlantis not my (nick)name
Not all riders, pros included have the same accuracy in their feelings when asked to ride at a given intensity. Depending on the rider, when they're used to power meters, values fluctuate between 5 and 30 Watts. And their accuracy can also fluctuate if they're tired and lack lucidity. If 5 Watts is rather negligible, 30 Watts is definitely not.
I couldn't care less about Sky being British, the team could be Irish, Breton or Zimbabwean that it wouldn't change my feelings about them. But would you defend them as much if they were not British ?
Oh, and as I don't lack trains I necessarily enjoy doped riders... I guess every one who's seen me posting messages around here must have noticed that by now. |

I wonder how many days in a row I'll be able to copy-paste those lines.
Well, Sagan won a stage before A. Schleck abandoned, but both things have happened. I'm such an oracle. |

So you want to say Contador, Nibali, basically everyone who tries to fight sky and make a race maybe a little bit interesting are doping and sky is totally clean, they are just the best? Now that you say it I must say sky is so heroic for beating those cheaters...
And sky is not buying the best riders, sky is buying riders and they get afterwards the best... |

Cavendish is being really cynical about his MSR ambitions, but I guess this one puts all his rivals alert, if they were fooled in the first place. |

Well actually yes with Contador, but that wasn't exactly my point.
That style of riding is what leads to the need to dope so heavy. Attack Attack Attack, leads to you totally overcooking and being conked for the next day too. So in order to keep doing that and win, you need to drugs for recovery.
Wheras scientifically counting to meters might not be as exciting, but its entirely more likely to be doable and successful whilst not having to resort to recovery methods that aren't legit.
@Aquarius: Sorry, I'd not long been up and somehow got the name wrong. They are both kinda water related! Ish!
The fact they are british is kind of irrelevant. The riders I've had most exposure to and therefore whom I have most affinity to ride for Sky. I defend them because I enjoy seeing them win, and I think that one day it might be really nice if I could enjoy one of them win without everyone trying to belittle it. It like 1/10 posts in this forum is some sort of attack on sky. They are just as likely to be doping as anyone else winning stuff.
It seems to me like a lot of people had their favourite's and people just don't like the fact their guy doesn't win to me. I really dislike Contador, but when he wins I'm just like "yeah, good win for him.". I don't try to derail the thread by calling him a cheat, and a blatant one at that because its not possible to attack all day every day and still finish in the front group even when you pop and do the same thing yesterday. If Nibali wins things, I'm not going to go, yeah well of course he wins things now his at a team that likes to dope and buy races. I'll congratulate him for a great ride (I actually like Nibbles and do think/hope his clean). |

No real reason I think, apparently he got dropped by the peleton and got off the bike. Radioshack seem to think it's not through lack of fitness but a psychological problem. |

You have to wonder with the Andy Schleck really whether he will ever reach the heights again. This is the second year of this, reminds me a bit of Frank Vandenbrouke. Certainly a different style of rider, but another wasted talent.
I would say it really has to be psychological, the guy should really be race fit by now.

Part of it is that he's scared of going downhill apparently...Unless they address that or he only enters mountain TT's or pan flat races he might as well retire already. But in all seriousness it's always a shame to see talent go to waste.

Or maybe he is riding without...ehm some magic this year? But that does not justify all the quitting, so yes, it seems psychological more than anything.
