Well Brazil is an old-fashioned race track so in general will be more interesting than all those new tracks.
I guess next season won't be much better but I would expect some more technical failures/engine blowups due to the new engines especially at the first races.

Well no one is watching because of the drivers enjoyment?
Still have to find someone who isn't watching because of some entertaining races but because the drivers have fun.
Just when I hit the kart centre here when the parents are watching at their childrens race.

Apparently Sutil and Hülkenberg have signed their 2014 contracts with Force India.
Quantum is still in talks with Lotus, so how Hulk already signed with another team is puzzling... Let's hope it's not Maldonado who'll get the second Lotus seat. |

Hulkenberg considering staying at Sauber for 2014 now. Lotus taking too long to decide, and Sauber seem to have made him an offer.
PDR looking likely to go IndyCar in 2014 with Ganassi. Hardly confirmed, but it's more likely than a FI drive now.
With Hulkenberg moving away from the Lotus seat looks like a fight between Maldonado and Kovalainen!?
Maldonado's relationship issues with Williams are a concern for Lotus but if PDVSA puts up enough cash then it's going to be a done deal very soon.
If not then Kovalainen, provided he can do well in Brazil. Heikki was last rumored around Caterham (again) but without significant financial support there is no offer forthcoming.
Also i'll try and get hold of my friends friend at FI and friends friend at McLaren to see what i can dig up. It's fun having connections

I guess Nico is afraid of being without a seat a second time, although a driver of his talent should never be. We had the same issue with Glock with all those pay drivers around.
Still, he has to realise Lotus offers him the chance to win races, while it seems he might make half a step backwards with FI.
(obviously a preliminary estimation with the amount of rule changes)

I hope for rain today in Brazil. We haven't seen a rain race this season (except for the first few laps in Malaysia) so I hope today's race will be great after a really boring season since the summer break.

Indeed. Rain is a great equalizer, and gives podium chances to drivers like Hülkenberg, Kovaleinen and perhaps even Bottas or Ricciardo.

Don't get too excited guys. Forecast is looking more on the dry side
However it's Sao Paulo which gives the faint hope of chaos

just rain doesn't do a whole lot, you need constantly changing weather conditions for this to be exiting |

Damn it! It has rained on friday and saturday, and even Q3 was later because of the rain. And now it maybe won't rain on sunday.

True, with changing conditions it's even better. But also a rain race can give a lot of spectacle.

Pérez has switched his gearbox because of his crash in the qualifying yesterday. He'll now start as 19th instead of 14th.

Damn it! The whole weekend is raining, and when the race is, it's dry! It was not a bad race, but I hoped for rain during the race. Still there were some strange moments. Ricciardo and Sutil unlapping themself at Vettel. Vettel suddenly drives really slow, comes into the pit where his team didn't expect him and lost seconds because the tyres weren't there. Webber standing behind him, waiting. Hamilton who got a drive through penalty because he rode Bottas out of the race, while Bottas was lapped and didn't has a reason to be side by side with Lewis. Stupid drive through for Massa because he rode a little bit over the white line at the pit entry while he didn't box. And of course, our hero Maldonado who spun.

Maldonado to Lotus indeed. Hopfeully Grosjean can learn him to ride races without crashes, because he has learned it this season. Hülkenberg almost agreed with Force India. Then we have another Force India seat and one at Sauber. 2 at Caterham and 1 at Marussia are also still available.
Brawn will leave Mercedes at the end of this year.
Bahrain will be a night race in 2014, because it'll be the tenth grand prix. South-Korea is deleted from the 2014 calender, and Abu-Dhabi will be the last race instead of Brazil.

Next season:
- Double points in the final race of the season, which will be Abu Dhabi. 50 points for winner, 36 for nr 2 etc.
- Drivers may choose their startnumber. Vettel will get number 1, the others may choose numbers between 2 and 99.
EDIT: Already confirmed a while ago but Hülkenberg back to Force India.

Rejected forced pitstops to combat excessive tyre wear.
Instead there is an extra tyre test in Bahrain from the 17th to 22nd

1) Favours the biggest teams, not the cleverest ones but the richest ones who can develop their car throughout the season.
2) I read it was between 25 (or 26 ?) and 99, but that by default they'd keep the numbers given by the current system. |

None of these rules are as ridiculous as the FIA's. And 17 and 18 sound brilliant.
