seen as my beloved Togo failed to qualify for the World Cup I am now officially supporting Nigeria, Algeria and Cameroon
Aren't you supposed to support England? New Zealand are now my team - Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia stand no chance.
i don't like the english footballers and i am part Togoan sooo i decided to stick with the african side of things
If I were you, then, I'd support the Ivory Coast. They seem to have the best chance of all the african teams
Plus Ghana is the only one of the African nations to border Togo, so you may as well support all of the African teams |

Not that any will get further than the semi-finals. I agree with isso in that Ivory Coast are the strongest but I don't see them winning it. For some reason football pundits have been saying because the World Cup is in Africa the African nations will do well - yet the average temperature in SA during winter is 12 - 14 degrees Celsius. Surely this favours the European teams? Even if the Ghana and Ivory Coast squads all play in Europe, I still don't think that being in Africa provides them with any real advantage, teams like England, Germany, Italy, Brazil et al. will all have a large support, too. |

You might as well support SA, they are the worst ranked team in the tournament

I have three hopes for the 2010 World Cup (in order of most likely to least likely)
1) A team other than France, Spain, or Italy wins
2) The US gets to the round of 8
3) We see a South Korea v. North Korea match

I guess isso only said that cuz he's Liedson's #1 fan... Anyway don't bother spending to much time thinking about it, the guys in red (yes, Brazil B) will take it home ... or not.
It doesn't really matter anyway, what I'm really looking forward to is the CAN to support Angola!

Same here!....if any of the stadiums is ready in time, that is.
Still, the CAN is usually quite awesome. January 10th it starts

Semi-final if one of them wins their group, although we could get a N. Korea USA match in the semis as well.
A Spain v Portugal or England v Germany round of 16 would be pretty good also.

No, impossible, elimination stage is like 2002 and not 2006. 1st and 2nd of the same group can meet again in semifinal. |

ah well, I just thought of a new favorite goal. Ivory Coast beats France, then one of the Ivory Coast players turns the flag upside down to make it look like the Irish flag. and parades it in front of Henry's face. |
