So Sagan did not start todays stage and is out of the race, because of that bronchea inflammation. What a pity, he could have won the points jersey and maybe another stage, today profile looks again ideal for him.
His next race should be Strade Bianche before Tirreno, so he have enough of time to get better.
Action packed race today in Oman. Contador, Rodriguez and Froome leading in front of group of seven (Evans, Impey, Hernandez, Tschopp, Pozzovivo, Nocentini and Stybar) riders with 5kms to go. All others are dropped, great ride from Stybar after whole day in the break.

I'm very impressed by Stybar, he is almost every stage the top finisher for OPQS
He would be imo even better yesterday on mountain stage, if not being "forced" to babysitting of Peter Velits, who should be OPQS leader ,as defender of last years title. Stybar was waiting for him many times on Green mountain from what i read and later it was too late to finish higher than 17th. Still great early season for him, he should move into top 10 after today maybe.
Wtf, did not expect this stage to be that selective and did not expect to win a sprint against JRod from Froome. July is going to be amazing.

Performance at threshold (20-60 minutes efforts) doesn't vary much between February and the peak of the season (July for most of them), most riders are already at 90-95 % of their capacities on that kind of effort, if not more for those peaking early.
Somehow it's normal to have those riders here. What'd be worrying would be to have some July leaders trying but not managing to perform at this time of the year, and then slaughtering the pack in July. *whistle*
Final action begins at around 20 minutes. If Sagan attacks are impressive, Froome's at 22:18 is as impressive too

Rabobank, for the large part of their years, has always been in the top of the UCI/CQ ranking at the end of the year. They only had 2/3 off years.
They really were not that bad, but ofcourse according to dutch press they have to win all the big races...
And in 2011 they also had a great start like this, but faltered during the year.,
They're just extra motivated now, but i think later this season they'll stop winning stuff

Daryl Impey had a very strong finish in Oman. 4th on the stage amongst some strong climbers. Going to be on of Orica - GreenEdge's main men this year
When i first seen the stage result i thought they had identified the wrong rider but what a result for Daryl
So, all of you that said that Contador, Rodriguez and Schleck would 'set Froome straight', well, there you go. He beat 2 of 3. They all have the same goal, so are in similar form. I'm sorry, Froome can't just beat Rodriguez and Contador in a sprint.
