@Freitas, yeah I'm also quite surprised that they came this far. Although, you can't hate them! Nobody hates Basel  And I think that is the thing where Basel kind of got through.

64 football teams were on the start of this edition of 'PCMDaily's Favourite Football Team 2012/2013. After lots of posts, nominations and knock-outs, two British teams showed they were the most liked by our PCMDaily members and those are Arsenal from London and Newcastle United from Newcastle.
Arsenal had a tough way to this final. In the first round, they faced the German side Werder Bremen, which was favourited by lots of members. After a 5-2 victory, the Gunnes went on and beated Swansea with 5-4. Close call, but enough. Then, they had to take on the Italians from AC Milan. But they still won. In the next round, the Red Army (no, I'm not talking about the Russians ) took on the Italians from Napoli. After a quite easy win they beat Athletic Bilbao to reach the finals.
Newcastle United was surprisedly very loved by the people. In the first round, the Magpies were put up against Laussanne, from Switzerland. With an easy win, they secured their next-round spot. In the next round, one of the favourites for the win (in my opinion) took on Newcastle. They were from Milan. Internazionale de Milano was the name. Guess what, they lost. Italy was suddenly left with Napoli and Juventus. Newcastle continued their winning streak against Liverpool. In the next round they defeated the last Italian side, Juventus. Suddenly the British were in the Semi-finals! They crushed Mr. Frei's Basel and took the spot in the final.
