You should really use dropbox to regularly upload save-games as back-up
I should. Cause trying to find the weekly save is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack

Criterium du Dauphine
The Criterium du Dauphine is the like the 2nd week of the Tour de France. It’s got flat, hill, mountain and TT. It is a great race and to win it is very prestigious. Last season Cadel Evans took the win after coming 2nd in 2007, 2008, 2009, not going in 2010 to winning it in 2011. This year I, Ryder Hesjedal, hope to win the race. My goal is a top 3 but the win is definitely there for the taking.
The Stages
Start List
Stage 1
First up is a 5.5km prologue. It will be a very interesting start to the race.
The Race
The American champion Dave Zabriskie was the first favourite to leave.
I set off with about 25 cyclists left to go.
Froome set off with only 5 cyclists left.
Brajkovic was straight after Froome.
Van den Broeck, Menchov and Vande Velde are the only ones left.
Menchov
Vande Velde was last to set off.

Criterium du Dauphine
Stage 3
A flat stage with a small uphill finish, a strong puncheur could win today.
The Race
With 150km still to race Zabriskie attacked
Zabriskie’s group was caught so Navardauskas was next to go.
Vande Velde attacked on the small incline with 45km to go.
Langeveld attacked. Navardauskas followed. 20km still to go.
Big crash happened at the exact same time. Vande Velde, Talansky,
Rojas Gil and Fernandez all went down for my team. Luckily I stayed up right with Zabriskie and Hunter still to help me.
With 7km to go the leading group had 40 seconds on my group.
With 4km to go it was all back together.
With 2km to go Hunter was doing a fantastic leadout.
1km to go
And Valverde takes it. What a great win for the Spanish rider.
2nd for me and 3rd to Matthews. Hunter took 10th.

Well I wasn’t expecting 2nd. I wasn’t expecting that big of a crash either. Thomas Voeckler pulled out along with some other big names. That’s the end of their Tour campaign before it even started. Well I keep my overall and maybe even gained time. Valverde deserved the win so great job by him.

Stage 6
A hill stage now, another win should be achievable.
The Race
The first hill and Vande Velde working for me. I am 2nd wheel,
Navardauskas 3rd and Moncoutie in yellow.
Vande Velde made a gap with me on his wheel and Moncoutie 3rd, Pineau was also hanging on.
Halfway up the climb we were by ourselves in front. We were 48 seconds ahead of Moncoutie and 1.36 ahead of the peloton.
Through the mountain sprint the gap was 2.29 to a group of 3 including Pineau, Meersman and Sinkewitz. They were only 17 seconds ahead of the peloton.
With 96km to go I dropped Vande Velde and was by myself.
With 37km to go I had 7.37 to Vande Velde, and a further 20 seconds to the peloton.
5km to go and I am still out front by more than 3 minutes.
And I get it. All day break and a win. Fantastic

Criterium du Dauphine
Stage 7
The first of 2 mountain stages, I want to keep the jersey after yesterday’s hard race.
The Race
Rojas Gil, Hunter, Fernandez and Navardauskas all got on the front just after the first classified climb. The breakaway was Montaguti, Vandborg and Silin.
Rojas Gil sprinting.
Rojas Gil takes the 2nd sprint point.
A large group dropped off the favourites group. Vande Velde was leading up the climb to try bringing the break back.
With 20km to go the 2 riders leading (Martinez & De Clerq) had just over 1 minute.
The riders were caught just before the final climb started.
No one could get away and with 5km to go I decided to attack.
The leading 4 with 2km to go.
400m to go.
Menchov holds on to take a great win for him.
I get 2nd just ahead of Froome who takes 3rd place.

The Tour in 1 post
Well to star off the Tour was stuffing up on my so I decided to make a storyboard instead of individual reports.
To start if it was a short race to see who would be the overall leader. Millar attacked with 4km to go and stayed away till the very end. That was our first win at the Tour.
The riders raced hard all week with sprinters winning hill stages and long TTT’s making a lot of difference to the overall. In the middle was the cobbled stage. The profile was hard and looked a little like this.
A split was made lead by the team Garmin Sharp.
One of the favourites today was the World Champion Filippo Pozzato.
The yellow jersey of the young Sky rider, Edvald Boasson Hagen.
Gilbert is 2nd at this point only 53 seconds behind EBH.
Pozzato and Chavanel
The Frenchman takes a win.
Wiggins took the overall in stage 12 and was determined to hold onto it.
We got hold of him after and he said “This is great to get this jersey but it is only the beginning. I have Evans and Gilbert very close behind plus Johnny Hoogerland who is 3 minutes back but could definitely be a surprise”.
After stage 12 the overall looked like this.
The next stage was the start of the hard mountains. A breakaway the included Rony Martias and 1 of the only 2 riders left at RadioShack, Jan Bakelants got away early. In the end it was Martias who took the win ahead of Bakelants. Ryder Hesjedal who is Garmin’s leader here is currently 12th overall. He is 19’32” behind the overall leader Bradley Wiggins. Evans is really challenging Wiggins for this overall win and is currently 2’28” behind.
Stage 14 and only 78 riders remain and what a day to shed away some more.
93km in length we climb one very big mountain. The favourites for today are Contador, Evans, Hesjedal and Hoogerland.
Garmin controlled the race all day. When the attacks started they didn’t panic and brought them back slowly but surely.
Here’s Hesjedal and Gesink attacking in stage 14.
Crossing the line at the top of the stage.
The overall after the stage.
Stage 17 saw Ryder Hesjedal, who was a favourite for the overall win, take a 3rd place and get into the top 10 on GC.
Stage 18 came and the riders were not looking forward to it.
This is where Cadel Evans made his move and got some time back on the leader. He is now only 39 seconds behind Wiggins. Hesjedal is moving up the overall and is currently in 7th overall.
Stage 19 was where Contador took win number 3 ahead of Basso. Wiggins also gained almost 1’30” on Cadel and can pretty much confirm his win in
this year’s Tour de France.
Hesjedal has gone up another place and is 6th overall.
The last stage that is contested for GC is the MTT. It is a very difficult TT to finish and can change a lot.
Wiggins overall was never in doubt with him winning the TT by 28 seconds to Contador. Hesjedal came in 6th and moves up to 4th overall.
Well that ends the Tour de France. Jimmy Casper taking the win at the
Champs Elysees.
