Ricco's not really naive (ok for the stupid part though), he's mostly a pathetic liar. |

Fair point. I should like to think that he takes the win with sheer stupidity and asshole-iness

Neither are in the WorldTour, and neither aren't dumbasses.

Ricco must have some mental disese, that disqualifies him from the competition And i ment award for the running year, lets see what will Ricco do this year...now he has a strong opponent.

Meanwhile, Riis makes it painfully clear exactly why his signings are crap, by letting slip that his budget is lower than Cofidis'.
Now imagine how much that is, take away the massively high salary that Contador has to making, and there's not a lot left, is there?

Considering Contador was on a €5m wage at Astana, and that he'd be getting roughly the same at Saxo, and that Cofidis' budget is supposed to be between €8.5-€9m, yeah, they're pretty tight.
But maybe he pays his court himself.

I thought Specialised paid a large amount of Contador's wages?

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has officially confirmed that the long-awaited decision in the Alberto Contador case will be announced on Monday.
Speaking to VeloNation this evening, CAS secretary general Matthieu Reeb verified that the decision would indeed come at the start of next week. “The answer is yes, Monday 6 February, probably at around noon time (Swiss time),” he said.

And in other news:
Federal prosecutors closed their investigation of Lance Armstrong without charging him over allegations he used performance-enhancing drugs Friday, ending a nearly two-year effort aimed at examining whether a doping program was created to keep the seven-time Tour de France winner and his teammates running at the head of the pack.

USADA responds to the closing of Armstrong's case:
“Unlike the U.S. Attorney, USADA’s job is to protect clean sport rather than enforce specific criminal laws. Our investigation into doping in the sport of cycling is continuing and we look forward to obtaining the information developed during the federal investigation.”
... by saying that the case is not over yet |

The Giro di Sardegna will not take place in 2012 due to financial problems.
Milano-Torino back to the calendar, after being cancelled last year. At last some good news.

Just quoting Twitter here:
Rumours circulating on a ban for Contador @renovandael says 6 month ban, @Juan_Guti says one year ban. Decision tomorrow morning.
To be honest, I think people are just putting rumours out there. There's not a whole lot of options, so guessing correctly is not that difficult |

Been waiting for this specific article all day:
https://sporten.tv2.dk/article.php/id-...s.html?rss
UCI says that Saxo Bank may lose its World Tour license. The license commission has called a hearing with Team Saxo Bank which may withdraw the license since Contador's points are gone. |

I wonder who would take their place. 1T4I? Europcar?
Or would there just be one less WorldTour team?
