Its somewhat of an issue if if 846 miles is local
Say, valv, out of curiousity, how many competitive cycling races are there within 200 miles of you? Regardless of category. I can imagine it being very few if Missouri is local.
There's usually a few mountain bike races but road races are very scarce. Plus its only a day or 2 drive to Missouri. (which makes it local for me.)

And US pro cycling is better and better? No seriously. There are only two big races in US - Tour of Califonia and Philadelphia Criterium. And there are only 2 big teams - Shack and Garmin. Is really pro cycling in US "better" in 2010 than in 2000?
So, HTC-Columbia is not a big team? O.o
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

HighRoad isn't american team. It's an international team with Taiwanese and American sponsors with only 2 American riders and American owner. So I don't think that this team is American, they have only American licence.
Latest insane rumour from the belgian press: Lotto and QuickStep to merge
Is this going to result in Philommeke Gilboonen, the perfect classics rider?

GOD AMONGST MEN! KING AMONGST PEASANTS! ALL HAIL GILBOONEN!
*runs in terror*
But if Lotto and Quickstep were to merge, we should all be very scared.
Xenophobic team where non-belgians are ostracized, not invited to team gettogethers, etc, merging with team where 2 thirds of the riders aren't belgian?
Not bloody likely.

Meanwhile, Chad Gerlach is now telling the feds what he knows.
Or, according to Chad himself
Gerlach joins Federal inquiry! I remember when Levi was young and he used to buy EPO from Gaggiolli. Yeah i loved to get high, but when the **** hit the fan, only a real asshole, digs deeper! I can't wait to tesstify in Congress. I'll give up every champion from 95 thru 2002. It gets worse. Cool, California, we remember T, you'll B there too!
It just gets weirder and weirder. The post he made saying that got deleted and Chad's yelling and screaming that it has to be a conspiracy because he didn't delete it.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Chad's the guy who, a few years ago, when Levi was lapping the field at a criterium, Chad dropped out so he could stand on the side of the road and yell "EPO EPO EPO" every time Levi rode past.

It wasnt a rumour, it was Lefevre his "I had a dream"-moment.
He dreams of merging both teams to form a "superteam". But its just his dream, not a rumour or potential negotiation.
