Wow, I want to go to your team fundraisers. Ours, or any others for that matter, seem simply pathetic by comparison.

Well, after 20 days into my new training program of hell, I was on for a total of 18 days trained out of 28, BUT after going out at 6am to train again, I came a cropper the other day. Absolutely nailed it into the ground after coming around an ice covered corner at about 25mph. Not fun. Ended up slipping out, holding it for a split second, and then WHAM, down I went. All before it was light. THis was after 10miles in, so i got back up and continued to complete the remaining 27 miles. Mistake? Yes. When I got back, I was frozen, not to mention I was constantly in fear of nailing it again on all the ice I was THEN noticing. The result? Ripped shorts, massive lump on my left thigh (side of) complete with road rash. And some more road rash on my left elbow and re-opened a 8 month old road rash scar that had JUST ABOUT healed! Talk about a piss take. So, I guess it's no more early morning training sessions for me until the British Winter has passed (sometime around July I'm guessing), which now means my motivation will take a heavy beating. Dunno how many of you ride, but I find it easier to get up and go out and train rather than having half a day of lectures etc to do first, then to come home, and all you want to do is chill. Especially if the weather is crap. Oh well, the things ya have to do if you wanna go do the Premier Calender!

Unlucky - British weather is crap, our rainy season started in the 4th century AD, and has carried on ever since.
Anyway, good luck, try to go on only main roads, tends to be less ice on them

It was a main road... it just happened to be the lowest point, just going over a steam. And if anyone has ever lived near the sea/a river they'll know the heat in the air just seems to be sapped right out by water.
And cheers for the good luck! I think I'll need it from now on to avoid the most of the rain heading towards us for winter.
Cheers Smoothie

me too. This time I think I am going to avoid all physical activities for 3 weeks, unless I am advised differetnly. Last time I was on my bike 2 weeks later, and one of my teamates pulled a dumbass move and made me crash again, which may have put me back a few weeks

Feeling sorry for you, Levi..
Have someone taken their bike inside for the winter here, or is it just me? Look at the tires, they're new, and I thought the red ones were cool
