Tamayo/47C-Colombia and Ghor/Colombia Claro are the two riders that have been let off the leash today by the peleton

There is no sense of urgency from the pack as of yet

Craddock/Team Novo Nordisk has had a touch of wheels in the middle of the peleton and has hit the tarmac, he now faces a long and lonely chase to get to the finish within the time limit

Team Novo Nordisk are now on the front of the peleton as they try to bring back the duo up the road

Efimkin is on the front of the train as he tries his best to keep Megias out of trouble

With the two leaders now safely back in the peleton more teams have come to the front with there trains as they look forward to the sprint finale

Megias tries to surprise everyone by attacking first

But he gets swamped just before the line and Duque/Colombia grabs the win at the line

A brave effort from Megias at the end which unfortunately didn't come off, but a nice second place from Rodriguez secures the yellow jersey in our team.

Race Leader Enger/Team Novo Nordisk has slipped off the front of the peleton to try and liven up proceedings

The peleton don't seem too worried about him at the moment

He continues to set a nice rhythm

With no more intermediate sprints up for grabs he decides to slow his pace down and await for the chasing pack

Colba-Superhano Ham have belatedly decided to chase but it may be too late

The green jersey of Duque/Colombia and Cardoso/Efapel Glassdrive have managed to gain a few hundred metres on the peleton

As our leader approaches the final five kilometres race organisera are saying that he has over sixteen minutes lead on the main pack

He goes inside the final kilometre

And he grabs a totally unexpected solo victory

Gohr/Colombia Claro is the first rider to launch an attack today

Team Novo Nordisk are leading the chase

Despite the Brazilian's best effort he has only managed to create a small advantage

After the capture of Gohr almost immediately Atapuma/Colombia tries his luck

Four riders are giving chase, Ribeiro/Efapel Glassdrive, Beltran/EPM-UNE, Perez/Manzana Postobon and Ladino/Colombia Claro

Four has become eight with the addition of Duarte and Atapuma both Colombia, Laverde/Aguardiente, Baez/EPM-UNE and Duran/Efapel Glassdrive

The yellow jersey group is chasing at over four minutes behind

Under the red kite and Duarte and Duran have a small lead

And its the little Colombian who holds on to grab the win

Well that was the first day where we were not very active at all and the change on the GC is massive but we still hold the lead

Gohr/Colombia Claro is on the attack for the second day running

Peeters/Colba Superhano went into chase mode but was countered by Gohr's team mate Infantino

Race Leader Enger/Team Novo Nordisk doesn't seem too concerned at the moment

We now have three riders at the front of the race Gohr, Peeters and Ricardo Diaz/4-72 Colombia who made contact within the last five kilometres

Team Novo Nordisk are setting the pace on the front of the peleton now that all the climbing is out of the way for today

The leading trio have nearly twelve minutes on the peleton

Ricardo Diaz tests the water by attacking first

But at the red kite they are once again back together

But at the line in a really close finish its Peeters who gets the verdict despite the picture saying otherwise

A reduced peleton containing the yellow jersey of Enger arrived some 11m 35s later

Gentlemen, we now have a race on our hands

Infantino/Colombia Claro went clear after the first mountains classification and has rapidly built up a lead of over nine minutes

The peleton has already been dramatically reduced due to the pace and the terrain

Colombia are doing most of the work at the front of the peleton, they must have something planned for the end of the stage

Colombia are continuing to ride fast and in doing so the numbers within the peleton are getting lower and lower

A dangerous break of three riders has managed to detatch itself from the main pack, they are Efapel Glassdrive duo Duran (6th @9.30) and Ribeiro (7th @ 11.00) and Colombia rider Duarte (5th @ 9.02)

Our leader approaches the last ten kilometres with 2m 25s on the three chasers

Team Novo Nordisk have stepped on the gas in an attempt to reduce the arrears, although it may be too little too late

In to the final kilometre for our brave Colombian

And he holds on for a Great solo victory against the odds
