to be honest i agree with smitho, you have got to admit it was a laugh! They were on the road, that is ridiculous. those spectators are the ones that should be locked up as duffield said!!!! As for that silly cow that ran across the road on pipo - pfff what a joke!
ummm, are you trying to be funny?
And on what channel was Duffield commentating?

Oh ye aint it hilarious when a motorcycle takes a wide turn and hits unsuspecting spectators and injures them severly?
I guess im obviously missing the clue here. (Perhaps I should play some more GTA IV, maybe then I'll find it funny cause in that game I do sometimes drive into ppl just for fun)
However that woman who was crossing the road when Pozzato came should atleast be put away for a couple of weeks.

I am also missing the joke. Severly injured = Hospital = possibly not even certain to survive.
Very funny.
EDIT: I'm also going to say how do we know that the motobike rider isn't to blame.

I find it kinda silly that people keep saying it was all about luck for Boonen. Sure, the other riders crashed, and Boonen did not, but that just proves what a world class rider he is, knowing how to position himself at the right place at the right time.
I'm going to ignore the urge to laugh at that ridiculous theory, and instead I'll just say this: Boonen crashed twice today. |

Enlighten me on that motorbike crash. I didn't get a chance to see the whole race. How fast was the bike going into the spectators?

What the hell's funny about a motorbike ploughing into a load of spectators and seeing some of them impact violently into the road? I've played GTA and other games, but witnessing something like that on live tv was horrific. |

It's probably on youtube by now. Anything on live tv's instantly uploaded these days. |

im referring to duffield's comment on mr guerini in the tour de france! and as for you justinwk, i think you do need to spend some time on gta as it is comedy running people over!
No im actually being serious! Why would you stand at the end of a cobbled section when you could be on the section in the action, that person needs to have a reality check! obviously the spectators that were 'injured' will be puttting in a compensation claim so they will get their justice!
Peace out |

They need to put up fences on the most populated sections. |

I saw the motorbike crash live on Eurosport, a couple of people were thrown into the road from the bike like they were crash dummies. That must have hurt. I can see how that can be funny to some people, but I'm not laughing.
I enjoyed seeing Heinrich Haussler, he is a fantastic rider.
EDIT: I've bet on Boonen for the win.

Let's not forgot as our commentator said, it's highly possible the motorcyclist wasnt watching where he was going as he may have turned his head to look for riders.
We have no video of the actual crash so lets not go blaming the spectators without actual proof of it.
EDIT: We saw the big after the crash however, not the actual crash itself.

Pff, what an anti-climax
Maaskant fell and got injured 10km before Wallers. Devolder was behind a fall in wallers.
Hincapie fell later on. Then in the final the whole decision was forced by 2 falls..
I'd rather seen a real fight. What a huge anti-climax. |
