News about Scott Sunderland who parted with Cervelo a few days ago. He says that he'll lead a great new cycling team in 2010. We won't reveil who's financing it, though, but it could very well be the new British cycling team which the president of the British cycling union have been talking about a few times, e.g. by saying that there'll most probably be a professional British team in Tour de France in 2010.
I wouldnt count on it. Brailsford said he wanted to be DS a few months back. Personally i dont want to great british team in the way it is looking now. Id rather it be a british team with international riders there too not just british.
Most teams have more than one DS dont they?
In addition to this, I got an e-mail from Scott Sunderland today. I asked him what he had to say about the rumour that I mentioned above. His response?

Makes sense. Cervelo need him to ride the Giro to make sure of a wildcard there, and he obviously wants to try to defend his Tour title

In other news, Barloworld has decided to continue its sponsorship although they during the Tour said that they'd stop. |

What about the Vuelta?
I don't know, but I think Sastre will take the decision after the Tour, I don't think he will join the Vuelta if he is exhausted, but I don't know |

Every single year I've read "it's so ugly" comments when next season jerseys got unveiled, then every one got used to them, and two years later there'd hardly be any one to say how ugly a jersey was compared to the one of the same team the season before.
Keep going. |
