The cuban taekwondo fighter Angel Valodia Matos was disqualified by the match because he overtook his "injury time" , he was leading
After that disqualification , he kicked the swedish referee into the face *shock*
The referee had blood in his mouth and after a while you could see that the blood was flowing out of his mouth
After he should send off the mat , he was going into a fighting stance
For that he is banned of the International Taekwondo Association for the rest of his life |

oooo and deserves to be banned. Disqualification is one thing. Kicking an official completly different and deserves punishment. Whether the official made a right or wrong decission.
Now in china it's the 24th which means it's now Day 16, the final day. I'm planning on getting up early and watching the basketball, and after that, well whatever follows.

I wonder if he would be disqualified for going past the injury time if he was chinese. |

Yes he was, it's not something you can debate, if he's over injury time his out, it's that simple. Not even the chinese can chance that in some strange way.

meh, the bit were Boris Johnson got the flag was embarrassing, he had his suit unbuttoned, hands in pockets. Prat.
The 8 minute thing was mostly horrible as well. The song was good. But other than that, London take lessons from Beijing with how to do a show.

How dare you
Boris Johnson is legendary, it was quite an achievement for him to not offend the whole of China.

Agreed - it was far too much like the logo - crap

Boris as a guy, is fine. Don't mind him. Ordinary guy.
But on a stage like that when you're supposed to be very formal, you're recieving the olympic flag. An honour for the country.

If we didn't want him doing things like that for the country, then why was he voted in Mayor of London?

But hey, can't wait until London 2012, in fact planning to go out and get the t-shirt soon (early!). On sale now at the Adidas store in Oxford Street.
1) Cultural Olympiad begins soon!
2) Loved the closing ceremony, great music from the chinese.

The biggest highlight was Jimmy Page and someone we cant be bothered to care about, play music. Laughing at this "Boris Jeltsin" bloke.
I might actually go to London in 2012. Its not that far afterall!

That's treason
Seriously, Boris is surprisingly a descendent of Geprge II, King of England in the 1700's.
But yes, he's a complete and utter buffoon

if we go that far back, as he said 1000's of other people are descendents of him too. (i did watch it)
But hey, this week i'm off to London (possibly Friday), and i'm going to perhaps walk by city hall and see that blooming flag.
But hey, Johnson may clear up his act before he gets back to Beijing to recieve the Paralympic flag.

Round-up for my week of Olympics while being on vacation:
- Didn't get to see Denmark's very important handball match against Germany. ZDF didn't show the match even though they had shown some other handball match two days before. In the evening, I was on a restaurant waiting for Eurosport's round-up to reach handball. When they did, someone else decided to change to a new channel. Late in night, RTL said it had been a "black monday" for Germany, and I could see Denmark had won
- Exciting final in basketball.
... and that's pretty much everything |
