Team entered. Following my Giro disaster I've stayed away from all of the favourites this time |

My team has been selected few days ago, but now I don't know which rider should I choose: Jalaphilippe, Yates or Mochema? Why it is so hard? |

First of all, I'm glad you have recognised Mochema is his name

As a good team overall/all round or a good team full stop? I think there are too many questions about the next guys up: TJ, Pinot, Aru, Porte etc. not to select one, but dno |

Why would anyone ever select Mochema? No breaks, no wins, no glory, no points.

Consistently Zubeldiaing his way to top-10 deserves respect, but it should never deserve any spot on any velogames team if you don't have a weird fetish for Mochema (which I must admit I somewhat have....) |

I much prefer the original over some dutch lame duck copy.
(But yes, Top 10 alright and all, but there are way more exciting riders with higher RoI, say Rolland fx.. if he fucks up the GC he'll go in breaks and may win a stage. What will Mochema do?)
Like you said, if you don't have a weird fetish there isn't really a reaosn to choose him.

In Mochema's defence, I would actually pick him over Frank. But thats probably the only one - he is even more uninspiring than Mochema and you can always giggle a bit when watching him get dropped and close to dying. |

All depends on how much he costs but a Zubeldia styled rider in Velogames who finishes inside the top 10 in a GT actually scores pretty well, looking at last years Tour using the current scoring system he would of scored around 500 points, not spectacular but solid scoring

If he fell away from the GC early on then he would most certainly go out into breaks and is capable of winning a stage, he showed that he was capable of that earlier in his career before he switched to becoming the dour GC rider.

Obviously a game like Velogames comes down to perceived value. In that aspect, its strikingly similar to cycling betting. |

The only one I have questions about is Pinot, I suspect Porte and Aru to be good. |

Same, so many quality riders from France this year, its incredibly considering what they have been in the past. And not too espensive, either. |

Not sure about the use of the word "quality". They have a lot of riders who could be there or there about if they have a very good tour. Most likely they will be aiming for the top five at best in terms of GC contenders and sprinters.
If you had too name an overall winner rather then pick a velogames team I don't think many people outside of France would pick a French rider. |

I doubt Riis was talking about a French rider having a chance at the overall but more in regards that they have riders who can finish inside the top 10 and win stages. In reality only 2 riders are in contention for the overall providing they stay healthy and upright.

I refer to my post about perceived value above, riders like Coquard, Bardet and Alaphilippe and Gallopin obviously can't win, but I think they are good picks. Maybe not so much Bardet at 14 compared to the others, but I gotta pick him cos is is freakin awesome. |

I originally had Bardet but I needed 2 more points for Rosa/Kreuziger/Bakelants so had to abandon him |
