Time Trial
David Zabriskie was the first man to start from Garmin Sharp and is looking to defend his title. He obviously also goes into the race lead with 49'58".
Big title favourite TJ Van Garderen (BMC) beats Zabriskie by 1'04", that time will take some beating.
MTN's hopeful Johnny Schmidt wasn't able to knock off TVG but was able to put himself on the podium momentarily. He finishes provisionally second with 49'50".
Garmin's young stage racer Andrew Talansky is a strong in this discipline but isn't strong enough to take the top spot, 29 seconds off with only Phinney to go.
Taylor Phinney will be looking to take the Time Trial and Road Race double but he was unable to defeat his BMC team mate and finishes with the silver medal.

Happy that BMC got some success!
Also a good thing I convinced nacho to save himself from a potentially suspecious result for one of his Frenchmen in the French NC
Anyway I have never been more happy for a messed up AI than today

I'm sorry, there was a mistake in the USA startlists. Both races will have to be rerun.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Boring RR NC. Might be better to simulate all next season to avoid the peloton bug.
Still, BMC finally got some races right this time. |

You think! I don't know why the RRs weren't all simmed, because:
-- It would have saved us about 1 month
-- The better riders would have won, not the weakest riders.
You also say next season, well I hope Ollfardh has some top notch/ revolutionary ideas to regenerate interest in EPIC with regards to transfers etc, otherwise I suspect we may have people dropping out similarly to admirschleck.
For me, many of the races are getting pretty stale (take the GCs/ big stage races for example) where it is mostly pretty obvious who will win right from the start, as there are only around 4 contenders max (maybe some stat decreases are in order for all of the very top riders to make a more level playing field).
I wouldn't mind if all the riders were up for transfer, would be pretty lame if (e.g.) Movistar was able to keep Valverde/ Quintana without even a challenge. |

NC don't add on much anyway so I don't get why it matters much if some second, third rate riders win the NC. otherwise it's in French NC always either Demare/Bouhanni/Coquard/Chavanel or Pinot/Rolland/Voeckler/Chavanel that win it.

Well, I hope people will like the transfer period. A part of me really wants to make it very complex, but it will mean a lot of work for me. I will start announcing the details when the last season part is underway

That sounds great Ollfardh, I think EPIC deserves a 'complex' transfer period, after all you did start this last year! (Also, now that I have picked up PCM2013, I will be able to pick some slack in Part 3.)
-- As Brewers90 seemed over the moon with that USA RR win, I am glad BMC took it just for that reaction! |

This would kill the game much faster though, if people as a manager have no control over which riders they can keep. Some people picked their team based on riders in that team.

True, but it's also frustrating if you have strong riders not being able to contest, because the peloton doesn't chase. |

Everyone, who wants an NC-jersey added should post them here, then I will put together a jersey-pack with all NC jerseys named correctly to work with the DB.
If no jersey posted for a NC, which has a jersey in my game folder I will include that to make sure the pack gets as complete as possible.
I'd prefer the jerseys collected in posts covering one team, meaning that all NC's for a team should be in the same post and jerseys for seperate teams should be in seperate posts regardless of custom rider relations and/or jersey maker.

Katusha NC should already be in the game I think. If you want I can post then needed NCs though. |

No need. If a team haven't posted anything here before the end of the break I'll just include the ones from the relevant folder on my PC or none at all, which could mean that champions of smaller nations doesn't get to wear a jersey since there isn't a default champions jersey for a country like India...
