nop, because it wouldn't take any time to retain a feature already in the previous game, teamcolored helmets.

Lets do the math (with made up figures for now mind you):

Old game:

1 helmet = 1 textures

1 textures and 50 teams = 50 textures


New game:

6 helmets = 6 textures

6 per team for 50 teams = 300 textures.


So only if they come up with a way of automatically colouring the helmets with the teams colours or bother draw another 250 textures, im afraid i have a valid point.

I wasn't talking about 6 helmets, I was talking about keeping the old helmets. I'd rather want generic helmets with team colors than custom helmets with colors that don't fit. So let's do the math.

1 helmet = 1 texture
50 teams * 1 texture = 50 textures

I understand completely, but I don't want the new feature helmet with stupid colors that don't fit.

Both sides have up and downs. There's one thing that would put my mind at ease though. Can a betatester check which one of these are true:

There is 1 texture pr. helmet PER TEAM.

There is 1 texture pr. helmetmodel that all the teams use.

What i'm getting at is this, is the game fetching the helmet textures from a different file for each team or are they all using the same ones. If the first option is how it works, it should be easy to edit in team colors. If option 2 is how it is... i think we've got a problem.

If it is the option 2 mentioned by Mads, Ill probably just make all the helmets white. Then at least it doesnt look as ugly as it would otherwise

look at the helm from the euskatel and bouyges guys... they are the same I think. The other helmets you see are other helm models

team colors for Helmets and Frames ARE gone.

best option is to try to give the teams white/black equipment if possible now.

it's completely ridiculous, quick-step with bouyuges team helmet and saunier duval with euskaltel team helmet, just because it's the helmet model you choose in the menu. Hello? Several teams ride with the same helmet in real cycling, but they have team colors...

Take it easy guys. IF, there is a unique texture for each helmetmodel for each team. It's an easy job to redo the basic colors so they match the teams. I'll try and mess around with it a bit tomorrow and see if i can work out how it's all put together.

But on the other hand, if it's just the 6 different textures all in all, we're a little screwed Smile

This should be the easy way. Albeit im not 100% sure what the buttons are called in english, so they might have a different name. And i dont know if it works in Vista.

Right click on your desktop.

Select the right-most tab where you can change your resolution.

There should be a button named "advanced" in that tab. And when you click on it, it opens a new window and there should be a tab named "card". That should provide the information.

I'm sorry - but unless you can make a new engine it will be impossible to create team textures for the helmets/frames. It is only possible to link 1 texture to each model.

Are you certain that it's all the exact same *.tga file and not identical copies of the same file taken from different folders?

yeah I can confirm that. Only 1 tga. file for each nif. file.

Oh that stings Sad And i just got my hopes up as Crue just found a few *.tga files with the word casque in them... but no dice i guess.
