Augh, damn AI.
Playing as a small custom team, with a lot of early goals. Started with trying to get some days in the legs of the guys with San Luis, with maybe even some results. lol nope. Contador, Hutarovich, and a plethora of others. No worries.
Then, Tour of Qatar. This one is a goal, and the goal is to win. This one I pulled off with Farrar, but against Kittel and Degenkolb, Goss, Cavendish, among others. I was rather proud actually.
Next is the Tour of Oman, another important goal, although I need to top 5. I thought that this one would be possible, but not with Stetina against Contador again, Andy Schleck, Gesink, Quintana and Valverde. Contador won, with Valverde in second. Stetina came 7th, 29 seconds down on the Andy, who was 5th and just over 3 minutes down on Contador.
I'm just hoping that Andalucia is better...
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

Lol, sometiimes the teams the AI sends are insane.
At A-T, I had to beat Froome/Henao/Porte/Wiggins/Uran.
Of course, Nibbles doesn't care. He just keep up with them uphill and then drops them on the stupidly long decent on stage 6 (I think its 6). I took 5 minutes out of them on that downhill by attacking the whole damn thing XD.
Downhill guys are so freaking awesome to play XD |

Right, it's not really a career, but there's no stage-race discussion thread
I thought of something I really have motivation for. I try to get France their GT winner in stage-race mode. With a made-up team(Auchan pack by Haasje33), but a team that gives me a nice challenge.
Goals:
- Give France a GT winner(Top 3 is good as well, but I'll aim for the top)
- 3 stage wins
- Wear the KoM jersey, and try to bring it home.
I'll use Emmea's variant with the Champs Elyséés TT. It got about 75TT kilometers, so around average, and some downhill finishes as well(Where the leader can win some time, possibly)
Also, I'll use the 2013 startlist.

Just to know: Does the player receive propositions to manage other teams at the end of the season? |

Don't think so sylvao. This is not PCM 2005/6/7 where that happens.
Btw, finished the 1st month with NetApp. Really great fun to play with it. Dempster got top 5 in the Aussie NC then Huzarski won the Tropicale Amissa Bongo without winning a single stage. He took several podiums tough. The GP Marseillaise could have been better, Thwaites was the team best rider in 11th, Barta in 13th and Voss in 19th. |

I agree hard is eaiser than 11 imo(i dint play PCM 12 it would not work properly) I won 8 stages in 2014 with Froome in the TDF 2 seasons gone first year results in GT's,
2013:
Giro Wiggins 3rd, Uran 5th. TDF Froome 1st, Wiggins 5th Porte 7th. La Vuelta Froome 1st, Henao 4th, Uran 5th.
2014:
Giro Wiggins 3rd, Porte 4th TDF Froome 1st(he went to 85 in mountain lol so i put him down to 83), Uran 8th. La Vuelta Wiggins 4th, Henao 7th(4 stage wins).
The reason Froome only doen the 1 GT in 2014 is because i wanted to target the Worlds he would have won the ITT imo(but as Wiggo is leaving i wanted him to get his first rainbow jersey so i slowed Froome down) you can make stupid time up on the hill in pontefedara. And Froome in the RR came 2nd to a certain Slovakian, who in turn won Flanders and WC double.
For 2015 Wiggins is going to OPQS, Porte to BMC. reason i kept Froome is becuase i want to win 3 TDF in a row then i will build my team around Uran, Henao and bring 1 of Quintana and Betancur in. I tryed my hardest to win the Giro with Wiggins but i just could not do it.
My classic wins so far, is MSR 2013, Henao(yes you can attack on second to last hill and stay away still). AGR Henao 2013. 2014 Uran won LBL and Henao retained AGR. So Roubaix, RVV Il Lombardia is the target now, i will take more care for that area as i usually dont make them a primary objective but im not going to let Uran and Henao do the Giro or TDF next year its the classics and the Vuelta. Also notable results is 3rd in RVV with G.Thomas 2014.
Signing for next year Phinney, Voigt(yes he is 42 lol), LLS and GVA. |

Well, I believe there's a possibility to make hard easier, extreme harder, easy easier etc.
Not sure how though...

After the newest patch, anyone noticed the bug at the beginning of the season when you set season-goals? If you ad a race as goal, and you see it doesnt fit the rider, it doesnt help to delete the goal again? The form doesnt reset, even if you press the reset-button. So you actually have 1 chance on getting it right, or else your ****ed. |

I think if you delete all coloumns, so that you have all level 0 bars and then you press reset, it`s fine again. |

In the local.cdb you find STA_race_difficulty.
In hte 2nd coloumn you find gene_f_refcaraccoeff.
1-4 is explained in the last coloumn.
In Normal it`s a 1, which obviously means that AI teams have the same stats than you have.
In easy they have ~4% weaker stats, while in hard (2,5%) and extreme (5%) they have better stats than you.
If you find it too easy, just higher those values.
For example make extreme 1,1 instead of 1,05, which means that the AI teams have 10% better stats than you. (It`s not displayed in the game btw.)
Most of the other coloumns there are for track difficulty. You can easily find out which ones by reading the coloumn name.

You can change any fitness 'bar' by scrolling up or down

Also a left-click will raise it one step, a right-click will lower it on step.
This is how it works now:
As long as you haven't touched the bars, you can add and delete races and change the priority and the game will update the bars and the fitness automatically.
As soon as you change the bars manually, you cannot use the races to lower the bars. Which is somewhat logical, else it would destroy your manual planning. It is still possible to add races and the bars will still be set for these races, you just have to lower the bars manually if needed. |

This was what i was trying to say didnt work. It does NOT update the bars and the fitness automatically. It updates when I add races, but when I delete them it does NOT update :/ |

Well, maybe you should try another group than Dream Team if it is so easy...
I play Vuelta right now, and my Fuglsang is 4th but Froom won EVERY hilly and mountain stage. Contador, Majka and Valverde have no chance. So.. yeah... this is really easy...
If you play Froome.
EDIT: This year's Edition is actually much more difficult, at least for those who played actively and tortured opponents leaders through the stage. I just tested it in PCM12: one man have 50% green bar, second 95%. After 30km free effort difference between them was 2'30".
PCM13: after 85km no difference at all!
So... only stats counts, no matter how you play, if you save energy or if you dont, if you force opponents leader to effort or not... It doesnt matter. Before last hill you are equal (luckily length of the yellow and red bars still have impact, at least for now).
