It wasn't that decisive. Actually, it wasn't decisive at all. |

The point stands: It'll just be a blip. For every major competition, one or two teams qualify solely due to major refereeing screw ups (or bias in some cases), but nobody remembers them for long.

The really poor thing about this stuff is the way French players celebrated the goal, and the way Domenech and all French Federation guys responded to journalists : arrogantly.
When you qualify like this, just shut up and stay quiet.
To the guys speaking of Platini and others things : it's only the referee who sent France to South Africa (and evidently the best goalkeeper of the world : Hugo Lloris :cool
We'll pay this hard qualification at the WC by being ridiculous, like we are since 4 years. |

was the messi incident beamed all over the world like HENRYs last night ? .well in ireland and britian he will be rememberd for it
No. But neither was yesterday's. It was in britain and ireland simply because it was against Ireland.
A (literal) massacre was close to happening yesterday at the Bosnia - Portugal game. Fans had handguns inside the stadium, even. Did you hear about it on the news over there?
Of course not. News tends to focus on what the local population want to hear about

It was (it IS, actually) in Spain, but only because several Madrid opportunist fans are trying to make pressure in order to get a sanction to Henry.
Anyway, the hand of an argentinian guy who later was banned for a positive for cocaine is still fresh in the memories of everybody, specially in England. |

Brazil and Brazil B in the same group. And whoever goes through will face Brazil C in the round of 16. Okay then...

Nice group for Holland. Denmark, Cameroon and Japan. Teams who like to play attacking football. My guess is Holland and Denmark go to the next round. |

Heh, you're right Thrige. But its an interesting simply because there are no team too much better than the others. It all comes down to which of the three non-dutch countries that can pull off two good days in a row. Japan could in theory shock both Denmark and Cameroun. Or the Netherlands could have a catastrophic breakdown and not qualify for the knockouts. Its an open group.

Denmark should be able to progress from that group - but then again, Denmark is sucky against every team they should defeat. |

Aren't you supposed to support England? New Zealand are now my team - Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia stand no chance. |

I guess that Brazil C is Spain?
Meh, too easy for Spain, what a boring group. I expect that they will boradcast more games besides the Spain's ones, or I'd die of bore. Anyway, Honduras has now my full support. Viva Honduras!! |

If I were you, then, I'd support the Ivory Coast. They seem to have the best chance of all the african teams
