Nocentini seems to be in a very good form. He crashed before the climb but obviously came back and did well then on the uphill part.
Also Elissonde is nice to see there. Together with Jeannesson they have a good climber duo.

Froome showing good early form, interesting. Shaping up very well for a great Tirreno - Adriatico.

Glad to see Purito win the stage. Could easily just as well have been a mountain stage from the Tour when looking at the results!
And for those who, like me, didn't see yesterday's finish: here's a video:
VIDEO
If Sagan's attack two days ago was impressive, then I don't know what to say about this one! 3:45 into the clip.

Froome leading now.
Also, Evans looking good. He says he can win another Tour, let's see about that, though

Haven`t seen this coming. Martens wins first stage in Portugal.
According to the ticker in a sprint finish. But does anybody know if he attacked before?

The finish is bit tough, Meersman won it last year here so it's definitely possible he won from sprint. Another nice win for Blanco.

Indeed. The course is good and the landscape and architecture is beautiful. Much more interesting than Qatars boring, flat deserts.
How hard can it be?

Seeing that the sprint is mor difficult than it first looked like makes Bos` result quite impressive.

There was a crash in the final kilometers that might explain that result too. Machado did well, hopefuly he can finish in the podium, these races suit him perfectly. Also, an Angolan team was invited for the race, and in the first stage, half of the team has abandoned.

Also nice to see Wout Poels back on his bike again in Algarve. First race after more than half a year. Hopefully he will find his full strength again.

Downhill, actually. Machado attacked, grabbed his wheel and came around at the line. The peloton caught them at the line.
