Yeah, Sky's train was simply awful today:
1. Henao and Uran working for Cav! why?
2. The last corner was tricky, but Sky's leadout made it look like a rollercoaster.
In my opinion it wasn't Cav's fault today. By the time he started sprinting he had about a 6 bikes distance to Vaitkus/Ferrari
This is continuation of HTC all for sprinter in GT stupidity. Last year their Tour GC leader Velits was working for Cav all the flat stages and than felt it a lot in mountains
That was hardly stupidity - Cav did win 5 stages and the green jersey, much bigger publicity than letting Velits scrape into the top 10.
I think 6 riders are enough for him, if he is so good he should be able to stick with five or six, not eight (Martin was working too). But as you say, it is about priorities.

I think it's impossible to pick who's going to win today.

Well it will probably be from these riders, who are in today's break:
Lars Bak
Sandy Casar
Ivan Santaromita
Jan Bakelants
Luca Mazzanti
Andrey Amador
Michal Golas
Martijn Keizer
Jackson Rodriguez
My money is on either Amador or Rodriguez, leaning towards Amador.

Ah good memories come up, cycled the other way round cioming from Genova heading towards Marina die Massa. Its left right, up and down all the time, no time for mental rest, road wasnt perfect at that time, but seems to be improved, little kilometres are the same as 2009 61k itt. Just a few k though they ride a parallel road the other time. |

I don't think Txurruka can win, if he attacks (that is, if the break make it, which they should) on the final climb, there's still 12km to the line, and he'll probably be caught. I'd go for Bakelandts because he can climb, and sprint well too, or Casar, because it's Casar.

Bakelants could win this if he's having a good day.
Good call of Rodriguez' team to let them go. |

Casar is 4 mins back in GC only, Katusha does not want the pink jersey? They should start working soon.
Edit:Now it starts going down slowly.

Leaders often give away the jersey to non-contenders for a few days, it allows them a few days off from controlling the race.
The gap has shot up to 7' 00" with 38km to go.

I dont like this attitude much, pink jersey should be honor to wear every day, but they will probably lower it under 4"00
