10 points for the leader, every day. It all adds up when you lead it all race!

I can't say I commented much during the Tour, mainly as I was holding my breath the entire time. Plenty of early crashes for Wiggle, but I'm exceptionally happy to take the team prize. I guess overloading my team with the best helpers I had for Popo brought that reward around, but didn't seem to actually help Popo at all.

Wasn't sure what to expect from Popovych throughout this season, considering I'd only aimed him at Grand Tours, but I reckon it wasn't really worth the price for his small points gain.

Still, some nice stage results now and again, and even if Wiggle weren't doing too great, the reports were epic to read anyway!

Surely the death knell for Carmeuse as a PT team, unofortunately for them.

Yup, very disappointing and disastrous tour. But my upcoming races look promising on paper though. Atleast Ricco is a rider you can rely on.

I still have Cancellara with the Tour of Northern Europe.

But pretty much, yes Pfft

The all important team rankings, and Vesuvio maintaining a 1000 point lead is good news for them and puts them in a strong position for the rest of the season.

The work of Madrazo has lifted Santander up above Pearl Adidas to 2nd, while an impressive 7 stage wins out of 21 stages means that Sony Ericsson are right back in the mix for a Top 3 position.

There's a sizable gap to Jack Wolfskin in 5th, but it's all to play for in the battle for the final Top 5 spot - a fight that incorporates all the remaining Top 10 positions. Less than 500 points between 5th and 13th!

Webeffect and Milka are also close to this battle, and then we move to the relegation battle. Damiano Cunego needed to deliver for Cafe de Colombia and he did, but they are only up to the last safe position - 16th. just under 500 points behind Milka, but only 230 points ahea of Spyker Cars. And Carmeuse are still close as well - it is far from certain who will be getting relegated.

Warner Brothers are now relegated though. Infact, Tour de France was their last race - they failed to select squads for the remaining races.

After seeing the team's scores for Le Tour I thought I was out of the 5. But I guess not.
Still it's going to be hard to keep it. But Gesink will get back in racing, Ardila should have a more than decent Vuelta a Colombia, Chavanel will finally get a chance to ride for himself in Ireland, while Posthuma should be with the best in ToNE I hope to make it.

Well, well, look at that. It's not over yet.

I suppose Colombia is going to Colombia with a strong team Wink On the other hand, I've also sent a strong team to Tour of Northern Europe.

Colombia remains the favourite to stay up, but Spyker isn't without chances.

Wow, I don't think I will pick up many points at all from now on, but a top 10 in the pro tour should be secure, which will make it 3 goals out of 5 and hopefully I will have the money to keep Madrazo.

In the individual rankings, Madrazo has moved into the lead, with Trofimov up to 2nd, and Pluchkin in 3rd. Madrazo only has a one day race left, but the same is the case for Trofimov - while Pluchkin is now finished.

Former leader Ricco, now in 4th, and 6th placed Bakelandts are likely to be the biggest challenges to Madrazo securing the Individual title.

Victory for Cunego lifts him to 7th, but he missed the team strength to have chased down more breakaways and have the chance for more stage wins - he scored less than Ricco got for the Giro, and Madrazo got for the Vuelta, despite more points available here.

Cool, and Tenorio is top ten as well, not quite sure how that happened, even if he will surely drop places before the end of the season.

Yes - I noticed that straightaway looking at the points. Ivars and Perez Sanchez weren't helped by their falls and ending up way down the GC. Expected a few more points from the two of them.

A big haul from Colombian will be very important still for us. Abal is there to provide back up to Cunego - but the rest of the team is Colombian so might not be so good.

I think it will come down to Cunego needing to pull something out of the bag at Lombardy to put Spyker down.

Well, I see two of my leaders failing to make the cut for next year's squad currently! Wink

I've been constantly surprised to be around 10th spot, and I'll be happy just to avoid relegation (a goal I think I can be fairly certain of now).

5th seems increasingly difficult at this point, and last place at the Tour was not on the cards before the race, as it wasn't for the Giro either.

Oh well, go go.

That's solid. With no really bad luck, I belive I will be part of Pro Tour next season as well and that was and still is my goal for this season. Smile

That's a nice point haul from the Tour. Top 5 in the standings seem pretty safe now and with that 2/5 goals, so hopefully I will get some sponsor money for next season.
