Tbh I don't think Thor will get the green jersey in this years tour! It was a great sprint for sure, but he only won because it was a hard finish! I think cav and some of the other sprinters will beat Thor on a easier finish. EBH should be Norways hope for green in the tour

Up until a week ago, I had thought that Hushovd was going to be free to try to win Stage 1 of the Tour this year. After that would be relegated to Farrar's lead out man in his efforts to get the green seeing how well they did in the T-A together. On intermediate stages, Thor would be free to try the breakaway. But after seeing Farrar's form in the Dauphine and Thor's form in today's stage, I don't know what Garmin's plan will be.

Wow!! Hushovd showed once again that he is the best cyclist in the world! What a sprint, never seened that kind of sprint since Geelong last autumn... Where was Boonen? Cav? Freire? The Bull from Norway is the worlds greatest cyclist, and he will always be. You say Eddy Merkcx? I say Eddy Boasson Hagen!! Norway power! <3
The irony being, that despite only posting here when a Norwegian wins - while encouraging like-minded little kids on PCMNorge to do the same - your avatar on PCMNorge, isnt even a Norwegian, its Bradley Wiggins
Nice to see the rainbow jersey winning, though, that wasn't a "usual" mass sprint. All sprinters had dead legs, no real leadouts, O'Grady even managed to go from the front inside the last kilometer. And when Sagan/Hushovd can open a gap like that on 100 metres, that tells everything about that this wasn't a "real sprint."
Anyway, very happy to see Hushovd finally win something this season, winning in the rainbow jersey doesn't make it worse!
After leting all the hopers having their portion Hushovd decided it was time to win again, he announced it and he did it in a most awesome way, no doubt Hushovd is by far the greatest!!! Hushovd eat slow moving turtles like Cavendish and Greipel to lunch when he feels for it, but he is not barbaric either, therefore he let the turtles get their portion too! Hushovd > Usain Bolt

Because of the "Hushovd-issue" this site had a couple of months ago. Everybody jumpt on people that was praising a norwegian rider, especially Hushovd. And now some people find it funny to provoke some individuals that don't get that at this point, it's all just a big joke. And the "Hushovd-issue" which I referred to above here, has made us Norwegians hated by some individuals.

comparing the best cyclist ever to EBH is like comparing a Smart to Porsche
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around
What a fantastic sprint by Thor Hushovd. I must honestly say that I never expected this from him. I thought that the awesome win in the world championship was just a once in a lifetime happening. I was right for a long time, but today to my pleasant surprise Thor Hushovd made this wonderful and unforgetable sprint, that the world has never seen before. He defeated the best rider in the cricuit today, I am of course talking about Peter Sagan. He crushed Andy Schleck in the mountains yesterday, and he won by a mindblowing sprint that left the fantastic and beloved rider Damiano Cuengo behind like a snail. When Thor beats Sagan like this I feel like it is no doubt that Thor is the best sprinter in the world. He made a fantastic win in the wonderful rainbow jersey, which is just truely incredible. What a mindblowing performance we was witnessing today! I don't have enough good words to describe Thor Hushovd's fantastic victory, but I am doing the best I can. He impressed all fans of the wonderful sport of cycling today in the best way. I am sure that all kids that dream about being a professional cyclist have Thor Hushovd as an idol now. To win in the rainbow jersey like this is the biggest you can achieve in professional cycling today, and there is no doubt that he will be rembered as the God of cycling and the greatest athlete of this sport in the entire history of the human beings.

Actually it was way before that. It started in 2008 when Hagen turned pro and every norwegian on the planet seemed to be coming to this forum to post about how he OBVIOUSLY is future TDF winner.
Any attempt at reasoning with these people was met with insults and fierce language.
So we started to make fun of them.

Nono you misunderstand, Norwegianst never joke, never provoke and never exaggerate things, where on earth did you get that from!
If we should for some reason do that we would not dare it, what about the bloody serious british people? They would have eaten us alive if we did something like that. Therefore my friend I think we can determine that everything written here is a tribute to the one and only Thor Hushovd and is plain and simple the one and only truth
