I would more likely see Tony Martin there as riding for Astana or Rijs.
So sign with them, it seems to be a nice team. |

I somewhere read he will announce his new team this week and it will be a surprise. From all teams he was rumored to, i hope GreenEdge will be the team. If he signs with Astana, he will lose all his fans

It seems like they wouldn't have much mountain support for him, though. Weening, Lloyd, Albasini.

A definitive ticket to the next year's edition of Tour de France?
with Gretsch, and eventually Degenkolb, they'd have 7 german riders next year, quite a lot. |

That would be an interesting move. Degenkolb leading out Kittel in a flat sprint would be a nightmare for all Conti sprinters.
They need to get the wildcards, though, as I guess these 2 need experience on WT level. CT is not where they really belong next season.

Makes sense though. He'll be leader at the Giro, and at quite a few of the classics, without having to get a Wildcard for them. Add in the fact that Pozzato is apparently speaking to Farnese Vini, and it doesn't look that unexpected. |

The question would be if he can be their main sprinter after years of lead out for Hushovd and Cavendish or if he has to lead out other riders again like Bos or Freire. |

Not really. It was well known in Spain that Movistar was interested in Visconti. Strong team for the Ardennes they have for the next year.
@jph27: Rumor has it that Movistar leader for the Giro will be...Valverde.

I imagine he would be quite happy to act as the lead-out. He has made a great name doing it for himself and seems like a real team player.

Freire is too old. Could be for Bos if he actually ends up with Rabo.
But I've seen a compatriot of his having good speed but pure positioning in Pologne

Freire is done, so I don't think Renshaw will be lead-out to anyone.
If he can be the main sprinter? Why not? He has won stages in TDU and ToQ.
Also he finished 2nd in Champs-Elysees while being a lead-out. |

Degenkolb confirmed his transfer. https://www.nuspor...imano.html |

I hope it won't be a big step back for him.
Otherwise it could lead to promotion for Skil

IMO he's not done but he's not longer a mass sprinter. I think he still have a shot at one day low hilly races |

Good at head-buts too. |
