Good win. May this mean that Andy is ready for the Tour? |

@Ste117: Thanks. I hope so too.
@Freitas: I hope he isn't. It is still a month until the Tour starts.
Am I the only one that can't see the screenshots in the latest reports. It says "bandwith exceeded", but I can see the screenshots in some of the older reports.

I can`t see the images any more. It says bandwidth exceeded. Get Pro. ;(
But still a nice result.
Edit: No you aren`t the only one. Shouldn`t need more than 6minutes to post

So annoying. I will start using Imageshack instad, then.

I think you could also delete the oldest files. Then the first pages aren`t readable but the new one will.
Or even better, create a new account. Imageshack isn`t readable for several people, too, who aren`t registered there. |

To make everything readable, I have decided to upgrade to pro. However, I won't do it until tonight/tomorrow.

Wow, your result are preety incredible. Even with not the best shape you dominate every race, Schleck should give Contador preet big bashing at Le Tour if that continues

06.06.2011: Skoda Tour de Luxembourg
Stage 5
Mersch - Luxembourg: 150.4km
Offredo has obviously not given up winning overall, as he attacked out of the peloton with 60 kilometres to go. He blew past the early breakaway, as if they were standing still.
We sent up Monfort and Lund to chase Offredo, but it didn't help. The Frenchman continued to increase his advantage. It was now just over two minutes.
Twenty kilometres after his attack, Offredo began to look a bit tired. With help from Team Sky we managed to gain back half a minute on Offredo. There was still 40 kilometres left and Offredo was just 1'30 ahead, so it was beginning to look better for us.
With 25 km to the finish, Offredo was just 45 seconds ahead. The pack could even see him now, thanks to that some more teams helped us and Sky in the chasing.
Five kilometres later, Offredo was caught. This was a nice try from him, but in the end it became clear that he attacked too early.
Cancellara did a terrific job putting Pedersen and Weylandt in a good position for the sprint. With just under four km left, he moved to the front with them on his wheel. None of the other sprinters took Weylandt's wheel.
Cancellara released Pedersen with 2.5 km to the line. Still, none of the other sprinters were following Weylandt. Weylandt had a (+5) day and was feeling great.
Weylandt moved past his leadout man Pedersen under Flamme Rouge. Cancellara still held the third place ahead of some minor sprinters like Coen Vermeltfoort (Rabobank CT).
Weylandt was just too superior today. He celebrated the last 400 meters before taking a nice victory. Pedersen easily took the second place too.
Behind them, Cancellara held on for the third place ahead of... Andy Schleck?! I didn't even tell Andy to sprint, but he did that anyway. This was just too much. A 1-2-3-4 isn't even fun.

But great overall win.
I am also considering going for Pro, especially as you can upload via ftp server, what`s much more comfortable. |

@roturn: Indeed a weird result. Most riders is out of form I guess.
@Munique: Of course. I told him to do that. Actually, Boonen started his sprint from a long way back and passed like 30 riders in his sprint. If he had been better positioned I think he could have challenged Weylandt.
12.06.2011: Tour de Suisse
Tour de Suisse is a WorldTour stage race held in June every year. It is a race for the climbers, as it often includes hard mountain stages. It is the last WorldTour race before the Tour de France, which results in that many riders use this race as their last preparation for the Tour. The first edition of Tour de Suisse was held in 1933 and was won by Austrian Max Bulla. In 2010 Fränk Schleck won this race, after doing a surprisingly strong TT.
Leopard Trek:
Fabian Cancellara
Andy Schleck
Jakob Fuglsang
Anders Lund
Martin Pedersen
Brice Feillu
Maxime Monfort
Jens Voigt
Andy Schleck will of course try to go for the win here, as his form is quite good at the moment. Cancellara will take his own chances, but will be a helper on the mountain stage. Fuglsang will have a free role, but will help Andy if needed. Lund, Feillu, Monfort and Voigt here as domestiques, while Pedersen will try to win a sprint or two.
Favourites:
Ivan Basso Liquigas - Cannondale
The Italian is no doubt the best climber in this race. However, I'm not sure about his form. He hasn't showed anything so far this season, but his goal is the Tour, so he should be in quite good form. He will also have great support from team mate Vincenzo Nibali. If he wants to win this race, he will have to drop everyone on the mountain stage, as he will probably lose time in the TT.
Andy Schleck Leopard Trek
After proving that his shape is rising in Luxembourg, he is looking forward to try to go for the win here. With support from Fuglsang in the mountains, this can end with a good result for us. Just like Basso, Andy's weak point is the TT, but we hope that he can gain enough time in the mountains to secure a good overall result. Lets see if he can repeat what his brother did last year.
Samuel Sánchez Euskaltel - Euskadi
After finishing third in the Tour last year, he wants to win it this year. To do that, he will need to be in a great shape. This is his final preparation, so he should also be in quite good shape. He can keep up with the best in the mountains, plus that he is a good TT:er. That speaks for itself, Sánchez will be a man to watch.
Levi Leipheimer Team Radioshack
Old man Leipheimer will be Radioshack's leader here after Armstrong's retirement. His ace is that he is a strong TT:er. The American will have to do a good TT, as he will probably lose some time in the mountains. It will be interesting to see if he can do what Armstrong did here last year, finishing on the podium.
Vincenzo Nibali Liquigas - Cannondale
He decided to skip the Giro this year, to concentrate on the Tour instead. Last year he showed that he has developed into a serious contender in the Grand Tours. Unfortunately for him, Ivan Basso is also aiming for the Tour, so he will not get 100% support from his team. I don't think he will be strong enough to fight for the win here, but a podium should be achievable for the young Italian.
Robert Gesink Rabobank
The young Dutchman was strong here last year and actually lead the race until the final TT, where he lost too much time. This year he has really improved his TT skills, so he will be a serious contender for the win this year. With support from Luis León Sánchez he will surely do well here.

Thanks roturn and BikeRoel.
12.06.2011: Tour de Suisse
Prologue: Lugano: 6.2km
A short prologue to start this race. However, it isn't an easy one. The first half of it is always uphill. It isn't "just a small climb" either. Almost all of the climb is at 15% or higher. That might favour TT:ers with good climbing skills, like Vino or Leipheimer.
Jens was one of the early starters today. He felt good and clocked the best time at that point.
However, Jens' time didn't stand for a long time. Popovych was slower at the top of the climb, but his descending skills was enough to beat Jens' time.
Max Monfort was faster than Jens, but couldn't beat Popo.
Ardennes dominant Gilbert clocked a good time too, but not as good as Popo's.
Finally, someone beated Popo's time. Fuglsang rode very strong today and beated Popo's time with 2s. 12'16 was the new time to beat.
Cancellara felt already at the start that this wasn't his day. He had a (-5) day, but was still able to beat Fuglsang's time by 3s. What a performance by Spartacus!
Overall favourite Basso limited his losses today.
Offredo continued showing good form after his good results in Luxembourg. The young Frenchman only lost 5s to Cancellara.
Robert Gesink performed well today. The Dutchman was only 10s slower than Cancellara.
Scarponi must have stolen Cancellara motorbike today, as he was one second faster than Cancellara. What a ride from Scarponi!
Vino is a good prologue rider, but his time was nothing special. He didn't even finish in the top 20.
Samuel Sánchez with a solid ride today. + 17s on Scarponi.
Leipheimer disappointed today. He finished 15th, 26s behind today's winner.
Andy Schleck had a great day (+5), but I had not expected this much from him. He clocked the new best time by 11 seconds! This is a sign of form from him.
Last man starting, Vincenzo Nibali with a good time. 7th place, + 19s on Andy.

Can anyone beat Schleck ? He beats Boonen in sprints, Cancellara at time-trials, should be walk in a park for the win, I would not be surprised if he won last TT now

Just now I saw, the intro for the Tour de Suisse. Even though those are Mario stars they still look very nice!
Hopefully Cancellara can take the GC.
