Vuelta a Castilla y Leon

Stage 3 : Sahagun - San Isidro

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-75.jpg
After the great time trial yesterday by Monfort we´re expecting a hard fight against Ruben Plaza for the leader´s jersey now!Today is the first mountain arrival where Monfort wants to get the 10 seconds back

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-52.jpg
Duque and Pires were the escapes today

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-51.jpg
With only 4 kilometres to go Duque was still in front while his breakaway partner Pires was brought back to the peloton

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-51.jpg
After no one was attacking on the final climb Monfort decided to make his move with only 2 kilometres to go.Where is Plaza could he counter that?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-51.jpg
Just a few metres later Plaza went after him with Siutsou on his backwheel

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-49.jpg
Monfort started sprinting for the second place while Duque was just a few metres away from the stage win

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-47.jpg
Duque takes the stage win!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-42.jpg
Plaza came with a great acceleration in the end so Monfort could not get any seconds back!Siutsou became 5th while Monfort still got the second place in front of his rival Plaza

Yes you´re right Monfort had a small gap to Plaza about mabye 10 seconds but Plaza was really strong in the sprint so he could close the gapSad

Vuelta a Castilla y Leon

Stage 4 : Santa Maria Del Paramo - Laguna De Los Peces

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-76.jpg
Today is the last chance for Monfort to pass Plaza in the general classification! After a good move yesterday which was defended by Plaza we´re still optimistic that we can win this tour

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-53.jpg
There was a big group with 13 riders in front of the pack but they hadn´t any chances to survive there

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-52.jpg
With only 4 kilometres to go Cesar Veloso was the first one attacking on the final climb

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-52.jpg
Today´s stage winner Duque went after him as first

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-52.jpg
And then came the move by Monfort;Siutsou his main help there went with him

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-50.jpg
Short time later Danielson and Plaza made their move while Monfort was 15 seconds in front

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-48.jpg
But with only 1,5 kilometres to go a leading group of 4 riders was built but Monfort was behind Plaza! That means that our chances were reduced to win this tour

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-43.jpg
When the sprint began Plaza was far in front and it seemed that he could even expand his advantage of 10 seconds to Monfort

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-29.jpg
Ruben Plaza takes the stage win and probably the tour victory!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/10-23.jpg
After his amazing stage win yesterday Duque can repeat a good performance with a second place in front of Danielson

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/11-18.jpg
Monfort became 4th and he even lost 18 seconds to Plaza today while his team-mate Siutsou got the 5th position 30 seconds behind Plaza

Vuelta a Castilla y Leon

Stage 5 : Benavente - Valladolid

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-77.jpg
It´s the last stage in Spain for our team which did a great job the last days!
Especially Greipel wants to shine today after his second place in stage 1;Other favorites should be Weylandt,Fischer and Duque

The game crashed in the end!As we expected it came to a mass sprint where Greipel had to go on his own while Goss and Grabsch couldn´t stay in front with him.But it was no problem for our sprint captain to take the backwheel of Duque. With only 1 kilometre to go Duque took the lead of Weylandt while Greipel stayed in his slipstream. On the last metres Greipel tried to pass him but it was too late and he had no energy left to make a final move.It was the second stage win for Duque who did an amazing Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, too just like Monfort and Plaza who is the winner of the general classifications!
