So, Liege is now the first city to host all 3 grand tours. (Giro, Tour and Vuelta).
Now, go back to Spain, theres this feeling of "this doesn't feel right" about the stages here.

Good to know that TDF 2010 is starting in Rotterdam. I hope it's better weather then. If not, Netherlands won't have big races anytime soon again. Great fans there and credible cycling country. |

The far larger "genius" appeared to be Columbia. Was that Henderson willingly finishing in 4th? He only needed 3rd to get the jersey.
If it was him, major fail.
Was Henderson there? Wasn't it Sieberg, Grabsch and Greipel?
I don't know, that's why I'm asking
Aah, I read it a bit too fast, thought that you said he was fourth... |

Horner doesn't / didn't look like a guy who'd get back up. |

So, we're judging by weather now?
Ignorant people really. Like I said, if the Vuelta started 4 days earlier there was no problem.
It's not like there have never been rainy stages and bad weather in Spain or France (basque country anyone?) in big races.
Don't be an idiot plz. |

Am I the only one who's not a fan of the Tour of *insert country* not taking part entirely in that country?
I mean, isn't the point of the Tour of Spain to showcase... Spain? What's the reasoning behind the tour of france starting in England?
No big deal... just seems odd to me. |

I think it was good to start in Holland. I ssually sleep thru' the first few stages of the Vuelta - as do most of the riders.
Good to shake things up. |

Along with a number of smaller ones. |

I like races visiting other countries, i've enjoyed the Vuelta in holland/belgium, but it just doesn't feel like the Vuelta. I've always watched the vuelta with dried out countryside etc.
I've enjoyed these stages and happy to see the Vuelta finally try starting the race in another country.

Money, money and more money. And of course to get even more publicity about it which gives more money, but yeah, I do also think it is a bad thing. Tour de France should be in France, and the Vuelta should be in Spain (and I'm not saying this because of today's fall, it's simply my opinion). |
