Next stop through my journey is Luxemburgian Tour. I´m quite confident after my podium place in Germany and will try to make another good result for my team. Tour will start with short time trial, 4 mostly hilly stages will follow. Some big names have joined, I´m looking forward exciting battle.

Stage 1

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/3062010-0.jpg

According to all expectations, Bradley Wiggins was fastest man today.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/3062010-1.jpg

I proved my good form by 4th place (+11). Good start for me.

Stage 2

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-0.jpg

All early breakaway riders were already caught, when LL Sanchez decided to attack with 25km to go. I (+ few other) countered.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-1.jpg

Our attack was serious threat and many other attacks followed. Later big group of contenders formed in front with nice gap ahead of main bunch. Surprisingly yellow jersey missed it. Good news for others.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-2.jpg

It was about 7km before finish, when Kanstantin Siutsou attacked in last small hill, only French veteran Moreau, Silence leader Matthew Lloyd and me were able to follow...we quickly made nice gap! I made most of work in front...
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-3.jpg

Sudenly, Matthew Lloyd crashed and was forced to abandon. Bad Luck for him.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-4.jpg

When Siutsou opened sprint in last kilometre, I was already exhausted and couldn´t effectively reply.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/4062010-5.jpg

Not even Moreau was faster and Siutsou could celebratewhile I finished 3rd. Unfortunately chasers erased our advantage in last meters. But due to bonification, I´m new tour leader and will ride in yellow tomorrow!!!

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/5062010-0.jpg

Only flat stage in race. My team mates worked hard and didn´t let go anyone too far away. All of them were dropped from peloton later on, but made their job perfectly. I must thank to them for it.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/5062010-1.jpg

Dominique Rollin shocked everyone in sprint and won with huge advantage before others. I managed to hold yellow jersey for another stage!

Stage 4

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-0.jpg

Stage which changed everything...my last stage in yellow.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-1.jpg

Real race has started when 7 strong riders including former leader Wiggins attacked on penultimate climb with 30km to go. I decided to wait for expected move from LL Sanchez.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-2.jpg

He attacked surprisingly on flat with 16km to go, I was stunned for a moment and don´t catch him immediately. I lost too much energy by chasing them down then...
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-3.jpg

Strong, more then 20-men group, formed in front in last climb, I was there, but felt really tired.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-4.jpg

So I couldn´t react on another attack.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-5.jpg

7 men (LL Sanchez, Bingen Fernandez, Pujol, Serrano, Roche, Szmyd, de Walle) bridged the gap. I recognized, I was loosing yellow jersey at that terrible moment.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-6.jpg

Nicholas Roche opened the sprint...
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/6062010-7.jpg

...but Ricardo Serrano was faster in last meters and took win for Fuji - Servetto. I finished in chasing group almost minute down and dropped to 5th place overall. LL Sanchez is now new tour leader.

Last stage of Luxemburgian tour didn´t make any major changes. Peloton went together until finish, Alex Rasmussen dominated in sprint. I´m quite satisfied with my 5th overall.

Stage 1

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/9062010-0.jpg

Opening stage of Tour. There was mountain sprint shortly before end, an ideal place for attack. I hoped I´ll be ready in right time...Eduardo Gonzalo was first on last summit ahead of me, all looked good at this moment.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/9062010-1.jpg

But surprisingly Gonzalo continued in attack, Rodas and Landis followed him and they reached nice advantage before pack!
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/9062010-2.jpg

Although my and young Thomas Peterson huge effort, we wasn´t able chase them down until finish and lost 28s. Julian Rodas won sprint and took yellow jersey. I felt very disappointed that I missed decisive moment, hope next stages will be better from me...

Stage 3

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/11062010-0.jpg

Queen stage of Tour with very hard climb into finish. My main goal was to be close best climbers and lost minimum time before time trial tomorrow. We were all together at the bottom of Mont Megantic.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/11062010-1.jpg

This mountain was too hard for me. Although it looked optically without significant gaps, reality was quite different, I lost another time for other contenders. Anthony Colby could celebrate great win for Colavita, Eduardo Gonzalo took yellow jersey from Rodas.

I moved up to 13th place overall, but I must say I expected much less time gap from yellow jersey. I´ll fight as much as possible tomorrow, hoping for expressive lowering of my loss.

5th Danny Pate, +16
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-2.jpg

one of my biggest rivals in GC atm, Frantisek Rabon, 4th +15
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-3.jpg

another my former teammate Cameron Meyer, 3rd +8
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-4.jpg

I rode well, and was satisfied with 2nd, +7. This time catapulted me to 3rd overall!! I´m also new leader in sprinters competition, but two flat stages will follow and my chance to keep it for longer time is almost unreal.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-5.jpg

Fastest man today and second win in a row for Colavita, Svein Tuft. Great performance.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-6.jpg

9th Floyd Landis, +38 and 2nd overall.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/12062010-7.jpg

Eduardo Gonzalo isn´t time trial specialist, 45th +1´06. But he still hold yellow jersey!

Stage 5

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/13062010-0.jpg

Circuit stages in rainy days are nearly always jotted by heavy crashes. Today´s stage wasn´t different. One of the victims were 7th overall Frantisek Rabon (on picture) and Oscar Sevilla. Both lost 3mins today.
i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/13062010-1.jpg

I was happy I survived without any troubles and with Nikolas´s performance today, he achieved 3rd place in mass sprint. Only Pagliarini and Lacombe were faster.

Stage 6

i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt229/sarinka9/14062010-0.jpg

Rain was changed by beautiful weather, I would say it was very comfortable stage for all. Lucas Haedo brought third victory for Colavita in sprint, our best man today was Steven Van Vooren, who enclosed TOP10. No significant changes (I already lost green jersey yesterday) happenned, tomorrow I will defend podium place in last, mostly hilly stage.

Stage 7

Closing stage of Tour contained almost ten climbs. My tactics was simple, I didn´t want to defend 3rd place only, I wanted more! All went smoothly until penultimate climb (and last mountain sprint) with 20km to go. Landis attacked and Lewis countered.

But both were dangerous for Agritubel and Gonzalo´s team mates chased them down right before last climb.

Last kilometres of race had to be a nightmare for Gonzalo. Shortly before peak he lost everything, when winner of queen stage Anthony Colby made strong move and only Peterson, Champion and me responded on time!

There were only downhill and short flat section after summit and we made huge gap immediately before sprint.

It was pretty sure, we couldn´t be chased until finish, so only thing I needed was to beat Thomas Peterson and Anthony Colby in sprint. None of our group is a good sprinter, so it was hard to predict, who´ll be fastest inside last kilometre.

I made everything what I could, but Thomas was stronger, won this stage, gained yellow, green and white jersey, he simply won almost everything. I finished 2nd today and overall, loosing 3s only...great result for me and my team, I feel I could do better though.
