The amusing thing about Barloworld...
4 guys riding away, the 5 guy behind. Idiots!

I reckon Barloworld will be better in the next 20 stages - all things being said their TTT Time was not too bad.
I really am looking forward to see how Chris Froome and Augustyn does in later mountain stages. |

no, Astana isn't the best team in the world. It's the most doped team in the world.

embarassing for silence lotto there...
astana I am afraid have won few fans in the way they have started the season with such a talanted squad. You almost feel that the only race they really care about is the Tour de France. They threw away the Paris Nice and the Tirrano Adractico and didn't bother in any of the early season classics. Whereas all the other squads gave it a go. |

They did not "throw" away Paris-Nice they just had a bad day, and as far as giving the classics a "go" as you call it, they are a stage race team, they don't really have a great classics rider...
You have teams like Quickstep who have not real chance of winning a Tour that has any elevation because they are built for classics...you aren't giving them grief and as far as drugs go, NO ONE on Astana has been caught in 18 months now and the only person who was suspect was fired (Gusev)...Boonen on the other hand has been positive for cocaine twice in that span. |

Excuse me I made one mistake, Quickstep has Chavanel as their one chance to win a stage race....I know everyone will say Devolder, but until he proves he can do it for 2-3 weeks at a time he will stay a great one day racer in my mind.
Contador won stage one at Paris-Nice and the team let him down after that, not able to protect his lead, not because they did not want to.
So enough Astana bashing they will be non-existent in a few weeks any way. |

Okay maybe I was a bit harsh on the Paris-Nice front. But I don't understand why nobody was sent to the Ardennes Classics other than Popovich they have some good riders for those.
Contador was isolated in the Paris Nice and a fair bit in the Tour of the Basque country. I like the rider actually - but I wish he'd of had better support in the Paris Nice. |
