Not true. The Madone is made in the United States, handbuilt, with a three part frame that is then put together.
It's probably the Madone 4 series, that is made in Taiwan. I can guarantee that it is not a Madone 5 or 6 series. |

Belgium doesn't interest me. I'd prefer to go and scrape a living as an amateur in UK/Aus/US, living/racing my way through for two years then go to Belgium to try and make it in a place where no one speaks English.

You know, compared to French and Italians, Belgians are great at english. I don't think it would be that bad

US and UK are probably better options that Aus, but only because they have a lot more cycling and races. Although if your with a team or development squad it would probably be worth it.

I'll see what my options are like after this coming Winter. If the team I'm with atm offers me a bike and a place on the sponsored elite team, I'll stick around for a season and try a few Premier Calender races. I'm in no way disillusioned about my current ability, and so taking one extra year in the UK to develop a bit before hopping overseas, wherever I may decide to go, is probably not a bad idea. Plus whilst I'm here my parents are more than happy to support me for a year.

winter with snow in the uk is crazy...i´ve been in london 3 years ago and when there where some snow nothing really worked (train etc.)
moving to the usa seems to be a great idea when they are able to make races there

Its the molds of the madone 6 series. I have a friend from a trek store who didnt believe me. He got his hands on my frame I have and said it was almost exactly the same. My dad has a 5 series, and the similarities are ridiculous. He is pretty pissed he paid retail for it.

I'd like to see a pic if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Until then, I'll reserve judgement. |

My boss has a 6 series, and I have to admit, those do look pretty damn close... |

Wrong Model (it weighs in at 1100 grams, not sub 900, although all I want is a stiff race bike, which this one is) and the pain scheme was supposed to be either plain white, or with blue pin striping where there is red to match my team's new kits. I think I like the red quite a bit though, so we'll see which I race. It's nice to have options/problems like this

any Englishman who want to make it as a pro would be mad to turn down a ride in Belgium/France/Holland |

I could, or I could sell it to a teammate(it is branded with team decals), or keep it, build it and sell my current bike so I still have 2, or I could be selfish and hang the prettiest one up in my room to stare at
