doubt it will heal. he got dropped by the pack. that means he's doing a monster effort. he's done like dinner, I'd say.

I'm thinking Steegmans vs. Freire, with a possibility of Cavendish or Hushovd.
the peloton is going at warp speed. guys like Sastre must be dying.

Columbia 2-3
Notice how Valverde completely used up every single teammate. not smart.

Incredible from Cavendish, he came from a long was back (As youd expect with the tough hill) and got 2nd. Wow.

Cav was in the front group I think, but had no energy left to sprint. Nice win for Hushovd but a lot of the credit has to go to Mark Renshaw, it was a great lead-out.
And somehow, Millar is 7th overall

Yeah Hushovd is the best sprinter! Did you see he gave everybody his bacwheel as he exploded in front after a tough hill, Hushovd should have better stats in hills.... He has done hills much better this year

Nope, it wasnt the commentators - they didnt identify Kirchen at all. I just saw a Columbia rider making a huge acceleration, so I thought, maybe thats Cavendish - since he would have dropped back a bit after being at the front a little while beforehand when Quick Step and Columbia led the way. I was definately being a bit too over hopeful particularly as I'd ruled him out beforehand

Looks like Hushovd might have finally hit his stride after becoming 30 years old. |
