Waiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. That tweet says exactly what I'm thinking? That JTL trained with Sky in their "make wonders" Tenerife training camp when he was still at Endura? Tenerife training camp is in January right? That's right before he started to become a very good rider. |

If JTL trained at Tenerife with Sky, I doubt it would have been in January - that wouldnt really make sense. I would have placed it after his big results in February, as I imagine Sky came in to grab him for 2013 then.
Besides, I'd say JTL started to reach his 2012 level during the latter part of 2011, he just wasnt racing in the bigger races then - besides his 6th at the Tour of Britain

So, at the same time as Froome?
There could indeed be an argument for that.
JTL also has an illness as part of his back story

Obvious British Pecharromán is obvious. Almost as surprising as Santambrogio.

Sooo... where are those posts from last years Tour of Britain praising JTL as the biggest talent in the world and the new dawn of British cycling?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

So Cookson it is. Why is no one bothered by the news about him bribing the Greek officials? Maybe we just moved from one corrupt man to another? I hope not, good that Pat is out finally.
I wonder how Cookson will handle the possible huge scandal coming from his own islands...

The Greeks probably just needed the money
But seriously yeah it is a bit worrying but I think it is mostly because everyone was in an anyone-but-McQuaid phase and chose to blind themselves to his shortcomings in the interest of getting McQuaid out of his job. People will realise that Cookson isn't the saint that he is portrayed as.

It will be interesting and is a bit of a nice early test case. Of course once Froome tests positive that will be even bigger. Remember that Cookson at least used to sit on the board of Tour Racing Limited, the company which owns Team Sky. I'm not sure if he is still there (I doubt it, personally, though I am fairly sure that he was earlier this year) but either way it would be interesting to see how he deals with something that he has a very personal stake in.

He has categorically denied any possible bribe (as in: He didn't do it). Maybe Makarov? |

McQuaid also denied being corrupt.

The point I was trying to make is simply that it wasn't Cookson who was accused of bribing, but 'the Cookson camp'. If there was an attempted bribe, it might as well have been by someone who wanted Cookson elected rather than Cookson himself.
Secondly, I don't really know how to react to this. The source of the information is Greece + the so-called Ethics Commission which itself was accused of being McQuaid-involved. Given what we know about McQuaid, and given that no facts or evidence have been presented, it might as as well be the case that Greece were paid to accuse Cookson (comspiracy theory on my part, but just as likely ).
Third, you're corrupt, kumazan. You can deny as long as you want to, but since other cheaters falsely have denied being corrupt in the past, you're guilty

Cookson probably will do dirty things, but the question is: Is it worst than McQuaid? |

Shame to see this very nice team disband, always on the attack, with some of my favorite riders, like Simon

This. I haven't seen any substance behind it - have I missed it? It's as likely to be bitter/desperate mud slinging as it is to be Makorov or Cookson. |

I'm not saying he's corrupt though, just that you can't just pretend that accusation is false based on him denying it. If there's any truth to it, it should be investigated and punished accordingly, nothing else.

Obviously, I agree that it should be investigated, but that tweet is weird. If members of the media have seen proof, why hasn't it been described in any articles? |
