Yea, as I thought the Worlds title will be between Martin and Wiggins. Malori, Phinney, Vangarderen etc. will be fighting for 3rd.
I think it was obvious since Tirreno Cance didn't bother with TT too much, and will likely be much more than a average, but behind others coming up.
That win will be a good morale boost to Wiggins though, could possibly do well enough in Eneco, win Tour of Britain plus a medal at Worlds and at least he saved one minute part of his season.
P.S. Nibali came roughly 3 minutes and 30 seconds behind Wiggins, not that Nibali really cared much anyway, it's just a prep race for him.
Would agree with the Worlds assessment but, though I hope for Wiggins, I think Martin will be too strong.
A Wiggins win in the ToB would go down wonderfully well with the home press - there will probably be more noise/sponsor exposure here for that than Froome's Tour win, which explains why Sky have always backed that horse in the past. |

Majka rode a very strong 2nd part. But not enough to limit the damage to Weening
There is hope for Riblon though |

Let's hope Weening wins this for Dutch sake! That aside, I love Weening as a rider, also the last Dutch stagewinner in the Tour! |

Alright who wrote this Official UCI DB? We've been getting some odd results all season now!
Great result for Pieter Weening and Orica-GreenEDGE, especially considering most, if not all, of the team was dedicated towards the sprint train compared to the other contenders and their teams. |
