No i can't tell by final result, but i can tell by the tab that tells you about your riders. Here it tells you if your rider made it into the break, and this occurs a lot more with high FTR stat riders. It's the one area i've got closest to really testing and it adds up pretty well with FTR being the primary dictator of breakaways.
(also able to tell via KoM and Points rankings and by those stages where the breakaway succeeds)

So it is useful for a rider to get into breakaway, but what use does it have for stage or GC favourites? Because what i think is, that high fighter stat harms them more than it does good. It makes them to attack too soon and repeatedly before the final hill/mountain and when they get there, they are much more exhausted than opposition that just sit there. That is a bit dull and i think fighter stat need either rework, or drop out of the game.

I agree it needs a rework (like almost the ENTIRE STAT ENGINE!!!!!!)

DH isn't minor with free effort and a great DH stat (plus a long mountain) you can make some ground without even attacking but you won't regenerate because a high effort doesn't allow you to regenerate like just sitting in the peloton.

I think the Fighter stat should slow down the use of the yellow bar when it's below 10%. So that the riders who have a high Fighter stat gets a bit extra out of their last energy. |

You can lower the fighter stat for GC riders. Then test it in the game to see if it really is the reason for the problem you have described. |

I hope they make the riders planning better as in the AI. The Vuelta is always so weak you may get Froome do it one in five years as the TDF/Vuelta double. Also riders like Nibali always do the Giro/TDF and at the TDF he is like 9th or 10th it is so unrealistic.
How about riders like Contador do the Giro/Vuelta?, but it never happens. GT podiums are a certainty in the Giro and Vuelta with 77 climbers. |
